Go-Quiz error ??

Is anyone else getting routed to some Go-Quiz page when they click the Box at the bottom to go to the Author's Hangout ?

This is the 5th time it has happened to me, the other day it even froze my computer up. Was quite annoying.

Yes, I've been getting that too. I've run my Adaware and spybot to get rid of it, but I noticed it keeps popping up.

I had it yesterday. The problem vanished after I had erased all my cookies.

I do not have that problem, nor any other since using Mozilla Firefox (thanks to C. Quilty).

Another way to drop a couple of these annoying spyware/adware crap things is to go to internet tools.. clean your cookies and files, then hit the "programs" tab to take you to that page where you select your mail servers, etc. Down lower on that block you'll see an option to "reset my web settings". Click and follow. It should help.

I run Firefox & I've been getting re-routed to the Quiz site when I use the "forum jump" here as well. Only at the AH, though, which makes me wonder if it isn't a Lit issue as opposed to an issue with each of our browsers. It stopped for a time yesterday, though I hadn't cleared cookies or anything, but it's doing it again tonight.

Can someone let me know specifically what link you have clicked on that has redirected you to the quiz site? So far I haven't had much luck finding anything on our end that would make this happen, but hopefully with some more info, we can track this down together.

The forum jump at the bottom of the page. Personally, I only get redirected if it's on Author's Hangout. If I choose any other option, it goes through just fine. (It's also inconsistent, though, so it may be coincedental )

Can you (or anyone reading this) recreate the error?

If you can, can you then view the source of the page in your browser and then upload the source as a text file or email it to me?

I can't see anything strange at all here, but that doesn't mean that something isn't going on. If several of you have had the same problem, then we need to track it down.

Same here. I also go to the BDSM and How To forums a lot and it never does that with them, only the AH.

Yeah, I visit other forums, and it is only ever when I tried to jump to the AH. Glad that I brought this up, and that someone got the source and everything.

I sent the page source from the page it jumped from, and the page it jumped to, to Manu, and he's says he's found the problem, and hopefully will have it fixed in a couple of hours.
