Have you been trying to lose weight recently?

This thread is for us to discuss our weight loss journey; from the ups and downs, gains and losses, and everything in between. Think of this as a support system and a place to share tips and encourage others.

Eating healthy and being physically active is the key. Yup it's cliche, I know, but there are no shortcuts to being fit. Plus, I hear sex burns a lot of calories (and enjoyable, to say the very least!)

I am a fitness instructor and weight loss coach. if you need any help or tips just let me know.

I always tell people my fitness pal. free app and it really really does help. also 3 days a week 1 hr workout. do something. you have to get up and get moving.

Hi Amanda I didn't know you where on

And yes I agree, my fitness pal is a great app

have you tried juicing (no joke)?

I've tried juicing for one day, but I don't think I can do it for more than 3 days. When I did this, I got constant headaches. But the approach worked for Joe Cross.

One quickie workout suggestion: 20 pushups, 20 burpees, and 20 squats (repeat 3 times) daily.

First of all, make a decision whether your goal is to lose weight or fat.

If you want to lose weight, feel free to follow various fads.

If you want to lose fat, this is what you do:

- Eat 5 (6 for men) times a day. Make sure that 40% of each meal consists of something that contains protein (eggs, meat, fish, nuts, dairy, beans, peas, lentils, sprouts)

- Work on gaining muscle mass. This will increase your metabolically active tissue and it's the only permanent way of getting rid of fat.
It doesn't really matter what type of work-out you chose; as long as it's exhausting, you do it every second or third day and one session lasts 45 minutes at the most (skip cardio, it's useless).

- Dose yourself with quality vitamins (they're good for you and nutritional content of our food isn't what it used to be) and minerals (that will get rid of cellulite and if you retain water or have menstrual cramps, you have mineral deficiencies anyway).

I hope this helps anyone. If you have more questions, feel free to message me :cattail:
