I didn't think at first that southwest Louisiana would have any GLBT friendly people...let alone actual clubs/bars that were GLBT friendly.

Wow.

Unfortunatly, since I'm not much of a partier/people person, its rather difficult to "sniff out" the attitude of people towards GLBT people. But I'm learning I guess.

thought I would share my findings.

I was born & raised in nearby south Texas up until my teens. In fact my first boyfriend was a Cajun guy. I had lots of exposure at such an early age to the fact that there's definitely a hidden or underworld just about anywhere. Believe me I don't think clubs/bars are the only places. I discovered them mostly thru associations and word of mouth. That was GLBT friendly enough for me. If I was able to find a gay world in south Texas, there's definitely has to be one in Louisiana.

Well the folks at the GLBT friendly bar are real nice. unfortunately, I can't go there any more...my ex likes to sing karaoke there and I'm trying to avoid my ex...
