Having read another thread and kinda felt inspired, would lit members like two parts to the GLBT forum board in the same way as the BDSM board has two parts?
By this I mean one forum for conversation and discussion about issues and ideas for those who identify as GLBT etc and one for more, technique based questions eg. Am I gay if i have a cock up my ass?

think a lot of complaints about this forum come from the fact people want to have serious, or at least, normal conversations with fellow minded members and yet feel put off by the more sexually explicit threads which seem aimed and written by and for men? perhaps two seperate forums would be an idea.

just a thought, what do you guys think?

Yes, definitely. That's always been my complaint or criticism if you like, about GLBT ever since I joined up almost a year ago.

First of all, of course I think it's wonderful lots of younger people who are curious re their sexuality have come here to either find answers, if not themselves.
But then there's the other rest of us group, either older or those in search of a more social, literate, or political GLBT. I believe that's where the split is. More things regardiang gay artists, musicians, music, movies, the stage, events, etc. etc.
Yes, maybe two separate forums might be the answer or the solution. I don't know.

Maybe it's time the moderators get together and brainstorm on such possibilitites. I see nothing wrong with two forums. I think it's a good idea. This way no one's left out.

Although I am among the ones you speak of as complaining about the inquisitive threads, I see no reason for a separate forum. We scarcely post enough threads to keep the forum moving as it is, and those who prefer "serious" topics have little difficulty finding them when they appear.

E and Q do a great job moderating and moving threads to the personals when required.

I am for keeping the GLBT chatter as it is.

There's not much activity on the one forum we have. I don't see much point in adding a new one.

Fair enough. I raised the thought of two seperate GLBT boards for the fact that as I was looking through the GLBT regulars board, I got the impression that those who looked at this particular board were often put off from posting because of some of the threads that get created which is why I suggested a pratical board and a more general board for everyone else.

I don't either. As I said in the other thread, if you don't like the subjects being discussed, the remedy is as near as your fingertips.

Why thank you. :rose:

I wonder if my "does your post go here" thread sticky has been effective at all. I actually use it more as a basis for explaining why we might move a thread, but I wonder if posters have come here with a question/thought, read that, and then realized it fit better elsewhere.

I've always wondered what those sticky threads were for, me being far too lazy to read them. Thank you.
