Give the authorities the finger! Write extreme porn!

As for you making the effort to find that rule/statement. Thank you.

Thing is that what you found is the rule that no one said existed, that there is a stance on rape. But no one is saying hey that nutbag LC was right for once.

As for the story I mentioned? You mistake me, or I am not wording my posts correctly. I don't care one way or another what is out there, I don;t go looking for things that I know will bother me. My point was simply-now that you found the rule- is that they do not consistently enforce it.

What rule? Show me where the rule is posted to the Web site in submissions guidance.

If it's an "understood something," it's not a rule. Rules are available for guidance, not pulled out of someone's pocket on the forum only.

That said, it's still true that the Web site doesn't have to be consistent about anything in what it chooses to accept or reject. It's a private site. So the discussion is empty.

I should have explained that for me this all goes back to one of the first stories I posted here. It is a 2 part BDSM series called "The Breaking of Allison."

My editor at the time sent back my original and claimed there was a rule about rape and or harm during sex, that at some point it had to be enjoyed etc. I tweaked the story to give it a "lighter" spin and since then figured this person (who had been writing here for quite sometime) new what he was talking about.

For the record I ended up with several comments telling me the thing should have gone into non consent, that I would have gotten better votes. At the time I didn't even know lit had a non con section because I have no interest in reading those stories. I will, if it serves to move the plot put some borderline things in there but it is never that blatant.

Of course they will do what they want as the endless rounds of why can't they be under 18 also show. Yes by US law they can but simply don't want to. Game over.

Only thing here is that if there is no official rule (guideline is what you called it) by what means is it accepted or rejected? For this or any other scenario that isn't the two "hard rules"

How many times do I or someone else have to say that it's a private site? The owners don't owe anyone an explanation for accepting or rejecting nor do they have any responsibility for being consistent.

I know that I, at least, have posted this three times to this thread already.

I don't think it's the rules that are being "hard" here.

I write what I want and submit it and worry about whether it will be accepted or rejected later. I've been rejected by the bot, but I've never had to change a word of a story when it flipped over to the human editor. And I've written vampires and other monsters fucking their victims to death, gang rape, and men with all the attributes of a snake--and the age thing doesn't bother me, because I can write small, young-looking, still-innocent characters who explicitly are stated to be at least 18, and I get the same older-younger arousal element that those who try to sneak through underage get.

I think that most everything that is written well and the cirumstances fit a storyline will get through. And if it doesn't, so what? Just write and submit something else.

I don't see the need to discuss the issue every two weeks--or to pretend not to understand that the site owners don't have to be consistent in selection.

...would have to be posted somewhere else, wouldn't it? I think that's against Lit's rules or whatever.
I doubt I'll write that, I'm was just trying to come up with something extreme that isn't already a cliche.
