I'm curious to know what can or could have been done in Iraq short of War. I see protesters on my TV, there are countries that didn't back force, but has any solution other than continuing with resolutions and sanctions that haven't worked been broached?

Stop selling weapons to dictators to start with.

Putting stop to American hypocracy on Israel issue might help.

you are a couple days late for "give peace a chance". Those protestors should go grab a beer, I did. Payback is down the road a ways.

Peace = war

War = peace

I'm looking at this equation and wondering if this is why all those we've whupped in war before are now our friends....

lol...I personally feel that giving peace a chance is quite a few years late, or the "peace" as we've known it....ie, sanctions and resolutions.

Let There Be Peace On Earth....

Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me.
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be.

With god as our father
Brothers all are we.
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect harmony.

Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now.
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow:

To take each moment
And live each moment
In peace eternally.
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin....with me.

The trouble with peace is that it gives your enemy time to attack you many ways.

Peace is something that is settled in a short time and should not have to be striven for again between two countries or peoples for a very long time.

We have given Peace a chance for 12 years and gotten screwed by Iraq at every corner all Saddam undestand is violence so violence is what he is now getting (a little bit late) Saddam understands that

It is the law of nature at work here... It has always been the survival of the fittest... The United States is the leading super power in the world and in order to stay at the top we have to continue to beat down those who seek to oppose us...

The protesters in the street have a right to their opinion... And I have a right not to give a fuck what that opinion is... They need to break out of the little bubbles that they call life and realize that it simply does not matter if they don't support this war... We are fighting it anyway... And any of them should know that if I see them blocking traffic on my street or any street of the city that I live in, I will be forced to drive over them in my panic to flee the mob...
