Sometimes we need someone to listen
To understand and to tell us why
A heart and mind that on me will glisten
To not be alone in bed while I lie

Sometimes we need to do something random
A strange little outburst to know we're alive
Something to stand out from the flow of a system
This is my moment and for it I strive

It's nearly 10pm here... I haven't gotten to the wondering what the hell I'm doing up at odd hours of the night part yet.

As I sit here alone, another saturday gone,
feeling under the weather, yet happy at heart,
I am grateful for life, for all that I have.

I have friends, family, a job and a house,
my dog, my car, hope and love,
and I find in this moment, peace.

I have learned to feel again,
to reach out to others and love myself,
I want for nothing, I have all I need inside of me.

It's nearly 10pm here... I haven't gotten to the wondering what the hell I'm doing up at odd hours of the night part yet.

Well, I hope you got an early night and had some rest, even if you did end up in a lonley bed, many of us do.

missing the other person when they are away
