I don't know if I'm going to get flamed or something for posting this, but I'm going to do it anyway.

I just can't understand why people have to start threads like: "Shut the fuck up xxxxxxxx"

After all it's a free internet, and people are entitled to say and post whatever they want to, and how often they want to.

If you get tired of reading a persons comment, then just skip it, is it so fucking hard to scrool past it?? I do that myself, and it's not so hard at all.

My opinion is that if anybody anoys you, and that person won't go away, well the you can either leave yourself (not that I want anybody to leave from this board though!!!!), or just avoid that person.

Here here Shy Guy! I agree hon. There's a TON of threads and posts that I ignore. It's not that hard to do, and it makes it easier to keep the peace. Remember people this is only the net. There's no need to get TOO worked up over things! It's supposed to be fun!

I think it's pretty hard to ignore someone's post when they're the ONLY person who posts for all intent and purposes. There's the right to post, then there's common courtesy, and common courtesy is to allow everyone equal time on the BBS.

I admit my first day on the how to board i did post a couple of threads that wcould have been placed together. and that is my fault, and i admit it and i apologized for it. now lets stop all the fling flung slinging and get back to the labour day celebrations.

I beg to differ. Look at when you registered. Look at when I registered. Look at your # of posts, then look at my # of posts. Factor in the fact that I didn't post much for the first couple of months, and if I were "average" I would be somewhere up around 600-650 give or take a little. See what that tells you, Bob.

I just did a search. You've posted 25 times TODAY, and that's not counting about 8 "guest" posts. Really, you've been here and posting ALL DAY!!! It's a holiday, like you said, get out and do something like I'm about to, and I'm sure the rest of us already are.

And now we have another thread I cannot return to, since I'm sure this one will be monopolized as well.

Every so often, someone starts a thread basically telling another member of the board (usually Lasher, lol) to shut up.

People can and will post whatever they want, but I agree with TA. It's the height of hypocrisy to complain about the stupidity of someone else's posts, then to start something as stupid and immature as a flame thread. I read those and I feel like I'm posting in a grade school.

If you have specific issues with someone and flame them on those issues, that's one thing. But a "Shut up! You suck! Nobody likes you! Neener neener!" thread accomplishes nothing other than prompting everyone to rally behind the flamer or the flamee. It brings out the worst in everyone.

Bitching about someone you don't like is not going to make you like them more. They are who they are, and you are who you are. What was supposed to be accomplished by the bobtoad thread? Did the troll think bob would suddenly change into someone else just because he/she/it didn't like him?

Like I said, you're all free to post flame threads if you want. If each of us started a "Shut The Fuck Up" thread for those users we didn't like, I'll bet each of us would have a thread with our name on it (some of us would have two). But do we really want to spend our time nitpicking each others grammar or punctuation or hair style or shoe size or whatever? We're a well-rounded, intelligent group. I know we have better things to discuss.

Unless you all like flame wars. In that case, go ahead. Have a blast. I'll be over on Stigmata thread or the Redheads thread, enjoying REAL discussion.

I love you guys, all of you, no matter how annoying I find some things. I hope you all remember that some peple don"t have any thing else to do right now. My family all lives hundreds of miles away and my friends are all out of town. My husband and I are laying around watching movies today, and there are a lot of people who want to spend their time doing things others my find boring, on a holiday such as this. Bob may not have the kind of options others have. Let's all try to let this blow by so that those of us who are on here, on this holiday weekend can enjoy what their doing. Let's not be offended by the opinions of others. We are supposed to be remembering those who gave their lives to keep democracy alive, not aruging about who got their posts a certain way. i didnt know that there were races going on to reach certian levels of labeling.

i didnt realize that those of us with out a family, with out a place to go in the real world were not allowed to come online and hang out witht he gang.

i didnt realize that freedom of speech applied to everyone else on the planet escept me.

i didnt realize i wasnt allowed to have an opinion when everyone else is allowed.

i didnt realize i am not allowed to breath the same air and oxegen as anybody else.
