Hi

Its my Girlfriends and my anniversary soon, and im struggling to think of a good idea for her present. Ive bought jewellry in the past and i dont want to be cliché, but i hear when it comes to jewellry you can never have enough.

So i challenge you lit readers, what are some good ideas? What would you get if you were me? Help! :)

Sexy lingerie.

Trust me on this.

Nope, I never wear the stuff and wouldn't like it. I somehow go from fully dressed to naked without ever stopping at lingerie inbetween.

I'd rather have something simple like flowers.

What does she like? What are her passions? Does she have a hobby or interest that she feels you normally don't ask about or notice? Something related to it, if she does, would be a big winner.

Does she *love* jewelry? I'm not a huge fan, myself. Nor of lingerie. If she likes them, then by all means they're good gifts. Just make sure they're gifts for HER and not for you. ;)

book a room at a nice bed~n~breakfast.

include the sexy lingerie and jewelery .keeping a few bottles of a really fine wine is a nice idea.make sure the menu is going is going to be fabulous, the fireplace is roaring and then fuck, fuck, fuck your way to a better birthday.

*edited for spelling!

For one of our anniversaries - I made a whole lot of certificates - entitling my hubby to a midnight picnic, an all over body massage, a romantic dinner, a sexual experience of his choice (of which he requested and orgy with all my friends - pity none of my friends are willing ;) )

I awarded the certificates for things such as being a wonderful lover etc etc and presented them to him over a romantic evening of drinks and finger food which I fed to him......... flowers and jewels are good too!:)

I'mn sure whatever you give her she will love as you are obviously putting much thought into it.

I'm simple. Just spending the day alone with him doing whatever is the best. I love books, cards and flowers though if we have to go that route. Hope you both enjoy your time together! :)

Something Romantic?

If that's what you're looking to do try:

Running a nice bath for her before she gets home.
Light as many candles as you can in your bedroom.
Tell that each candle represents a moment that you thought
about her that day.
Have lots of sex!

I aims ta please.
Besides you don't need to spend lots of cash to show how much
you care. Unless the GF is a gold-digger in which case it's time to
look for a new GF ... unless she's one amazing fuck :D!!

LMAO!! Im thinkin youre not so "blind" after all ;)

If you really, really know her tastes, then jewelry is good.

I also like the idea of a romantic weekend get-away.

Spa days always top my list.

Make her dinner and get her the perfect book. If you get the right book it shows you've been paying attention to her likes and dislikes.

maybe you can help devilboy too, it's going to be our anniversary, my birthday, sweetest day and i think its all within the same week.

Plants work nicely, unless you get her something that is suposed to go out doors and she no place to put it. Did That reciently. Thought that I was getting something that she would have in her office and enjoy all the time. Turned out it was a bonzai tree that need to be out doors and she cann't. Damn! I've had better days...

Do something personal!

My personal favourite way to give gifts to the important people in my life is throught a treasure hunt. I'll get them a number of "smaller" gifts (unless it's a group effort, and other people are also pitching in monetarily), and make up clues that lead from gift to gift (hiding places, people, places, etc.)

My boyfriend's birthday was in June, and he has a tradition of NOT celebrating birthdays. I do not carry on this tradition, and as this was his first birthday since we got together, I decided to show him otherwise. I devised a treasure hunt for "the ultimate smoothness," with all gifts leading to that (ex. his favourite liquor, razor blades, a "pimp" shirt, a bottle of lube, etc.). Different friends held onto the gifts, and with each gift came a clue to the next friend. That way his friends (who didn't all know me very well at that point) felt included. It was personalized for him, and fun! Needless to say, the "no celebrating birthdays" rule does not apply to me. :D

So, yes, I recommend something personal. (That was the point, I think.) ;) Good luck!

Yeah... Plants make good gifts.

A while back, as a birthday present...

... I took a lady friend up in a small airplane to just fly over the local area at a thousand feet or so. She said it was the best birthday present she'd gotten in years. She had no 'fear of flying', nor much else. Erica Jong would have appriciated her i assure you.

And all that for $60 bucks, including the pilot. I suggest it to anyone having difficulty in picking a present for any occassion
