It's the old stereotype that Italian men are heartthrobs.

I actually compared him to other Italian singers and Instagram celebrities with similar style, but all the rest come across as tacky and affectated. Perhaps because they try too hard to be edgy or 'hot'.

GV's charm is that he obviously doesn't think of himself as 'hot', and he likes people.
His main message is to live your life to the fullest and have fun.

He and his videos are truly inspirational and uplifting. Plus he's not too bad on the eyes either.

after completing an Economics and business degree at the University of Bologna.

1. Wow, he didn't mince words when it came to Italian society: "more closed off, conservative, bourgeois" "say what a person can or cannot do when older", "envious of what other people have".

I posted because, in our youth obsessed ageist society, this guy should be an inspiration for many of us over 40.

He's been criticised for flaunting his lavish lifestyle in front of the less privileged or for being a narcissist, but he's anything but.
He's not your typical shallow Instagram celebrity, he's just living his life to the fullest, the way he wants it. And we should all try to emulate his spirit - to the degree that our circumstances allow us, of course.

Don't live the rest of your life learning to be old. But don't pine for or try to compensate for the lost youth in a perpetual middle age crisis either. Don't lose your inner youth and spirit doing that crap.

Life sucks for most of us at times, and it's easy to give into that negativity and to spiral into depression.

The answer is, among others: try to fight it actively every day.
Dance to Latin hip hop music while you dress, listen to cheerful music or at least the escapism from watching such Instagram clips whenever you can. Or get another pet.

I was referring to the fact that in certain workplaces, some older women (regardless of marital or child status) can be particularly nasty towards and try to sabotage younger women.
It's not about competition over looks or over men. Now that I'm older, I understand their mindset better: it's about anxiety and frustration "gosh, she has her life in front of her and can do things."
Some, because there are also those who are maternal and helpful of the young.

I used to think that men are more task oriented and better at this stuff.
But I learned over the last years that they can be just as, or even worse between themselves.

What is the reason?
In my experience there are a plethora of reasons why older people are single. Death of a partner being one of many.

I didn't say there was only ONE reason, now did I?

However, in my experience I've noticed that quite a few older single women tend to be of a certain personality that often results in other people staying away from them. These women are often found proclaiming their belief that men are worthless and they just don't understand why men are the way they are.

Doubtless there are other reasons which have nothing to do with the woman herself. What those could be, I have no idea but I'm sure there are some.
