I am a new writer. My first submission on July 2 (Chris' Photo Shoot, The Real Story Ch. 01) was accepted and has received a good response from readers.

My second submission was rejected with these 3 items of feedback

"Did I check to make sure everything was spelled correctly?
Were there any serious errors in punctuation or formatting (i.e. submitted in all capital letters, capitalization errors, etc.)?
Please fix the formatting of the dialogue. The essay "How to Make Characters Talk" in our Writer's Resources section has more information if you have further questions."

I believe I have made the needed changes.

I submitted a request to an editor to ask for help last Thursday and have not received a response

I am new to Literotica and I am not sure how to proceed.

Hey welcome to the forums!

Unfortunately the VE editor feature is pretty screwed up. A lot of these people come and go and never remove their profile or just pick and choose and never have the courtesy to get back to you.

There is a forum for editors here

http://forum.literotica.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9

notice at the top there is an available to edit in July thread. You can contact some of those people. The ones that post directly here are far more reliable than what you will find in the VE.

You can also start this thread there and they may reply to you.

Good luck.

The best way to use the VE list is to choose from the top. Members who just updated their editor profile are most likely to be active. Be careful to mind their theme preference as they might ignore you if you squick them. Be patient, RL can delay responses. Choose several to increase your chances but return the courtesy of responding if more than one answers.

OK. This is too much. Did you and Pilot have a Freaky Friday experience and switch brains or one of you get captured by the other and undergo Stockholm Syndrome??? Or did someone place a bet on how long you two could be bff's before you drove each other or everyone else stark raving mad? Or is this a weird sci fi experiment?

From one photographer to another...

Hi,

I know what you're going through. I had my first entry refused for the same reasons. I did exactly what you're doing and looked for an editor. I finally gave up! I either got no responses at all or someone who wanted to change my entire story. I did some studying on line and haven't had any problems since.

I am certainly no editor but we photographers have to stick together. If you'd like, I would be happy to look it over for you and see if I can spot the problems.

Hey PhotogJames, welcome to the Authors' Hangout.
:rose:
(My usual advice: If anyone is weird to you, assume it is them not you, give them a biscuit and go quietly to a thread where there appears to be less weirdness.)

I believe the best way to get an editor formally is to float around the Editors' Forum asking for one, and you may also get help in the Feedback Forum which I see is quite lively these days.

I got mine by picking out someone who writes in the category I wanted to publish in and shamelessly buttering them up, until they gave in and agreed to check my stuff for me, so if you haven't got an editor yet, laptopwriter, and would still like to have one, you could give that a go.

Lucky you, PhotogJames, from the quality of punctuation and spelling in laptopwriter's post, he is evidently someone who will provide excellent editorial support for you.

Hello,
I need some good writers who can write 5 stories for me in 2 weeks time.
I will be paying some good money too.
It's about a couple with a large house and a large swimming pool. The pool is cleaned every 2 days by a young college student. When the husband goes to the office the wife gets lonely and starts an affair with the husband.
Please give me ideas and also i need some writers.
So help me!
Thanks!
Maria
