Getting back into it?

It's been 10 years I think since I last posted anything on here (nice to see not too much has changed) and its been fun blowing the dust of the account and looking back at my writing (cringe) and I was thinking about book ending a story that I left on somewhat of a cliffhanger, or maybe just incomplete.

My question is, do you think anyone still cares? I'm not asking the forum to hype me up or anything or fish for compliments and support. I just want to know if anyone here has gone back after a long time and what the reception was like? I'm wondering if anyone stays on this site for that last long or comes back or if you had dedicated fans waiting for you to return. I kinda want to write the end I kinda don't, but I think I'd do it if it gave someone out there a little closure, blast from the past, or a smile :)

Thanks!

I came back into it back in 2020 after a ten year absence also. Although my stories back in 2010 were horrifyingly bad, I'd like to think I came back knowing a lot better than I did back then. And I'd like to think that I got a good reception from the stories I began writing with a lot of people giving me some good comments on my stories. I'm not saying everyone is a fan of my stories, I got some haters out there but I'm still writing whenever possible.

I say just do it because you want to. You don't have to do it for the fanfare, because you're not going to get a lot of followers in the beginning.
Just give it a shot for now and share a couple of stories to see how it feels before you decide to write more stories.

Lots of people have been here for a long time. If you explore your control panel (Literotica.com/my then click the crash test dummy icon top right) you can see if any followers remain. I think it shows the old ones no matter what, there’s no real way to tell who’s still active and waiting with bated breath.

I bet you’ll do just fine. Welcome back

Plenty of people have been here a long time, but there are plenty of new readers, too.

Write your book-end and see what reaction your writing gets today - a decade ago is a decade ago, but why does that matter? Write for today - just get on with it!

Hi LBD, welcome back to the madhouse.

I've edited a few stories for a lady who took six years off. She regularly received comments and requests for her to finish her chaptered stories. Her scores and comments for the new works are pretty good. Just reference your previous work in the new story's prologue.

Good luck!
