As you well know, I work in the Satire arena. Broad parodies of board personalities are funny.

My guess is, at this point, the only reason the mod has allowed the thread to survive is as a museum to show the infighting. Maybe that's useful.

I don't see any hope of reconciliation, forgiveness, agreements on what amounts to fair play, or any other consensus forming other than "Don't respond to the hate." Other tools aren't available because the site software doesn't have them. "Don't respond to hate" isn't bad advice, but personally I was hoping for a little more "let's settle it and forget it" agreement between the warring parties. But when apologies don't work, nothing else is likely to.

If by chance the mod is keeping the thread open simply because I'd originally asked to let it run until it produced good... yeah, I'm withdrawing that request. It's gone nowhere.
