It seems the fraud was so widespread in Fulton County Republicans could no longer pretend it didn't happen:

Georgia Republicans set process in motion for state takeover of Fulton County elections
by Jake Dima, Breaking News Reporter | | July 28, 2021 10:18 PM

Georgia Republicans requested a performance review of the top elections official in Fulton County, the first step toward a possible state takeover of Atlanta-area voting contests.

A group of two dozen lawmakers signed a letter, obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, seeking the inquiry into Fulton elections chief Richard Barron, who is facing backlash for his handling of the 2020 election in the Democratic stronghold.

“We’re asking them to simply correct a record they say is easily corrected. Is it or isn’t it? The people of Georgia deserve answers,” Republican Senate President Pro Tempore Butch Miller wrote in the letter.

Under a Georgia law approved this year, the State Election Board can remove county elections management after a performance review or a similar investigation if they find "nonfeasance, malfeasance, or gross negligence in the administration of the elections" in at least two elections within two years, after which a temporary superintendent would be installed.

But first, two state representatives and two state senators from the county must back the request for the performance review.

Expect this to be repeated in every red state that contains blue metro areas.

In the antebellum U.S., the Southern slaveowning-landowning gentry centralized as much power as possible at the state level, because it was easier for them to control state governments than all the towns and counties.

WHen you can’t win elections, take over the counting process.

Right. Three audits revealed no fraud.
:rolleyes::D

Analysis of Ballot Images in Georgia County Shows ‘Provable Fraud’ in Audit: Election Integrity Group
July 25, 2021

A group seeking to ensure that elections are run fairly said this week that an in-depth analysis of mail-in ballot images obtained through a court order shows that the hand-count audit in Fulton County, Georgia, last year “was riddled with massive errors and provable fraud.”
The analysis turned up at least 36 batches of mail-in ballots, containing 4,255 votes, that were added redundantly to the audit results, according to Voters Organized for Trusted Election Results in Georgia (VoterGA). Nearly 3,400 were for Democrat Joe Biden.

The team examining the ballots also found seven audit tally sheets (pdf) they believe were falsified to contain fabricated vote totals. In one example, the group said, a batch containing 59 ballot images for Biden and 42 for former President Donald Trump was reported as 100 for Biden and zero for Trump.

The analysis revealed that 923 (60 percent) of the 1,539 mail-in ballot batch files contained votes that were incorrectly reported in the county’s official 2020 election result, compared to the audit totals, VoterGA said.

“We believe that there is massive audit errors,” Garland Favorito, founder of the group, told a press conference in Georgia on July 13.

Dumb and overreach. Elected officials able to overturn elections they lose.

They aren't overturning the election. They're attacking fraud and putting in place protections against future fraud. You should be glad to hear that unless you know you need fraud to win an election.

I never said they were or weren't. Read better.

Looking forward to national election reform that will gut the Georgia legislature's New Jim Crow laws.

This is a direct result of the Big Lie and the Seditionists and their assault on democracy.

THIS is the reason so many people were up in arms bout the Georgia Law and not just the giving someone in line a water (as fucking stupid as that was)

So why the premature celebration on your part? Is it because you believed it to be true then or were you lying?

Show me the celebration? There was no celebration, only an interim report as I previously stated.

Jim Crow isn't possible under Republican rule. Jim Crow is a Democrat social construct.

Current legislature having the power to overturn the elections they lose. That is what is allowed now.

No it isn't. The election isn't going to be overturned. It will be shown for what it was though, and you should be happy with that.

Better hurry up with those open borders federally and not needing to be a citizen in blue metro shit holes. :D

It's the only chance you've got!!

Sensible regulations are a problem now??

Looks like you might have to stop talking about all that progress and actually go live it in a blue state.

If you can afford it.....(D)'s aren't very fond of the poor or working class.

I LOVE how much a problem democracy is when (D)'s are on the shit end of it. :D

Again, I have not said it will be or not. Technically the law passed this year, so they couldn't use it retroactively anyway.

But they can do so going forward. The majority of the state legislature could lose an election and overturn it because they don't like the results.
