Elections '24

“It’s time to fix the problems in our elections by ensuring compliance with the law, transparency in election conduct and accuracy in results,” Adams said. “And in my duty as a board member, I want to make sure that happens.”

Seems sensible

Aaaah, I didn't realize snaily finally got the ax.

What have you picked for your other new alt, bB? I am certain you have a backup already. Is that the 18xox?

“The suit, backed by the Trump-aligned America First Policy Institute, argues that county election board members have the discretion to reject certification. It’s not clear what would happen if a county refused to certify, although the dispute would probably end in court. A prolonged battle after the November general election could keep Georgia from awarding its 16 electoral votes on time, or prevent officials including county sheriffs and state legislators from taking office in January.”

Look the blueprints to the new plan for the MAGA faithful. Just needs one major county in each swing state, doesn’t even need a repeat of January 6th.

But look the district provided the requested information to board member but of course she will need “days” to now consider it.

It’s fun when you get to read the whole story instead of what is typically posted here by the usual wrong wing suspects. Yup, I’m referring to you Vlad’s boy (@Rightguide)

Thanks for the post. @jaF0

The election of 2024 will be the last real election in our history. After that we will have sham elections modeled after Putin where there is no real choice and the fascist candidates of the Christian Taliban win nearly all the votes. Of course eventually only white Christians will be allowed to vote.

Christian Taliban win nearly all the votes. Of course eventually only white Christians will be allowed to vote.
If modern Christians are their current version of the Taliban, I'll take that society in a heartbeat over the leftists/democrats any day.

Maybe you should spend your next vacation in Afghanistan and see how you like it. It could be your paradise!

I was unaware Afghanistan was a Christian nation. 🤣
You miss my point. The entire society that the Taliban have created there is EXACTLY what the Christians want in the US: no abortion rights, no contraception of any kind, no pornography, no LGBT of any kind, no rights for women, no restrictions on gun rights. The Taliban are Muslims but what they want and US Christians want is the same society circa mid 1300s.

The US and Europe have similar demographic situations, with a boom after the war and then decades of falling birthrate. The result is inverted pyramids with less young voters and abnormally large percentages of elders, with elders' conservative voting, elders' issues, and elders in office.

Biden was nominated partly because he was perceived to be the only moderate D candidate, but that doesn't match the actions of this administration.Voters' regret is building.

I'm sure the Democrats will have a different candidate for the 2028 election, you can relax.

That's in Charlottesville only. Districtwide, Good is a few hundred votes behind apparently.

(Not at all) Good is a Trumper too. He just made the mistake of endorsing DeSantis "back then." He went to pay homage at Trump's NYC trial, and the next day, Trump endorsed his even further right opponent. Charlottesville, home of a major university, is a blue spot in a heavily gerrymandered district (the middle of the state from top to bottom). Good isn't liked in Charlottesville. He gets hissed out of town whenever he comes near. He is just less rabid Trumper than McGuire is.

Watching, with a smile, the continued struggle between the incumbent representative (Not at All) Bob Good (diehard Trumper) and John McGuire (even more rabid Trumper) for the Republican nod in my congressional district (and almost guaranteed win). So far, nothing is resolved and they are both losing. Couldn't get better.
