WTF would be the point on this toxic wasteland planet of ours? Seems the money on R and D would be better spend try to to either, get people the fuck off this rock and start getting human outpost in deep space. Or repairing the damage to this plant and trying to find a way to either get more people on less resources or fewer people for the resources we have.

Right. There are enough people. That's why they should just give super powers to some of us who are already here. I figure by the time they work out the right gene combinations to impart super powers, surely they'll have a safe way to get those genes permanently installed in an adult's cells.
