I was over at the PG just sifting through the threads looking at porn (they do have good porn threads) and there was a little exchange about the GB and how mean they are.

Well one poster pipes up that s/he posts over here ALL THE TIME, and if you have thick skin it's not so bad. Never seen the name, so I was doubtful. I did a quick check of it's recent posts and sure enough, post after post after post in one of those lame-ass neverending Getting In The Last Craving threads.

Not that I care. But, it seemed kind of misleading to say you have thick skin and pose as some kind of GB Warrior when all you do is post in the most Playground threads the GB has to offer.

Since when is posting on the General Board considered a tour of duty?

I guess I didn't know that the GB was an "enter at your own risk" kinda place for those people. I don't know why it has a reputation for being too "mean", I really don't. It may be a little rough around the edges, but it suits me just fine.

I find the GB pretty refreshing actually. I was on a theological forum and it was SOooo mundane. Everyone is so PC and civilized. And slow, of course...

Oh, the only forum I visit that is civilized is the HGTV home improvement boards! Everyone is rude & obnoxious every now and again. Including me. (Though I haven't had a meltdown on this board yet.)

And yes, on one board I was called a "Wingnut Fucktard." Interesting, on the very same day on another board I was called a "Dumb Libbie fuck."
