Gen 13

Rainmaker

Sarah continued to wash her long black hair, shaking out the sand. She wondered if she should cut it short and dye it like Roxy's. That might be a treat.

Then she heard the door open, but she couldn't see over the shower to see who was there. She assumed it was Roxy though and continued to lather her hair. "Who was at the door?" she called out.

Burnout

Just as Bobby had turned off the shower he heard Roxy yell out to get the door.

"Not a moments peace with that girl," he said to himself.

he looked in the fog covered mirror and ran his hands through his blond hair.he liked the way it way starting to grow out...barely long enough to spike.

he wrapped the towel he had around his waist...wishing he had thought to bring other clothes...and headed downstairs...only to be greated by the site of Bliss...(stunning as always)...and Roxy...(wrapped in a towel...just like him.

"Ummm...hi girls," he said nervously.

Roxy found herself dumbstruck as Bliss strode into the house, uninvited.

"Sarah? She's in the shower. You could wait outside..."

Bliss gave a half-assed grin at Roxy, as if to say, "Outside? No, no, no... I will wait on the couch. Could you be a dear and fetch me some coffee?"

Just as Roxy was about to retailiate against the words she had pretended Bliss to say, Bobby walked in on the scene.

"Ummm...hi girls."

Roxy looked to Bobby, noting the fact that he, much like her, was wrapped in only a towel.

"Bobby!" she sqeeled, not wanting Bliss to think anything had happened between the two (Hey--both had wet hair and towels...coincidence?). Besides, she knew Bliss had a thing for the blonde rocker, and she definately did not want Bliss enjoying her time at the house.

"For god's sake... Get some clothes on!" She pushed Bobby in the general direction of his room, hoping that he would take her suggestion and come back fully clothed (or, just not come back).

Roxy turned back to Bliss, giving the best smile she could muster. She gave a nervous laugh. "Uhh... don't mind Bobby... He has a habit of not taking clothes in with him to the shower, and the path to his room just happens to cross the livingroom..."

Roxy motioned to the couch. "Would you like to sit while you wait for Sarah? She shouldn't be too long..."

Although Roxy wanted nothing more than to punt the DV8 team member's ass out of the house, she figured she didn't have much of a choice in the matter. She would just have to play nice for the moment...

Burnout

Bobby looked at Bliss and couldn't help but let his gaze linger.

"Roxy," He said."No need to be so rude.why don't you go get dressed and i'll keep Bliss company."

He grinned and adjusted his towel.

Roxy looked from Bobby to Bliss.

"Oo~ooh no..." she replied, once again remembering the little 'episodes' the two had had together.

"You go get dressed, I'll keep Bliss company. She's not here to see you anyway..."

Roxy looked at Bobby, he seemed to slump a bit, and then replied with a smile, "Yes, but I don't think she'd mind visiting with an old friend."

Roxy didn't like the tone of the word 'friend'. She felt an sudden, desperate need to keep the two appart. If anything were to happen... God damn! They were enemies, for God's sake!

"Bobby," Roxy said softly, but with a growl to her voice, "I said, go upstairs and get dressed."

Burnout

It was rare for Bobby to loose his 'cool'...so to speak...but Roxy was starting to get to him.not 5 minutes earlier she was upstair moaning and screaming with Grunge...now she was trying to keep him from one of the only girls he really cared about.

"Roxy, why don't You go upstairs," he said with a scowl. "I'm sure Grunge is ready for round 2!"

Roxy bit her lip and held back the urge to slap Bobby. To be truthful, she had always cared for the boy -- deeply. He was always there for her when Grunge was being an asshole, and he knew how much she hated the relationship at times. It hurt her deeply that Bobby would strike such a low blow at her.

"You bastard!" she shouted, her fists clenching at her sides. "Just because my boyfriend and I occasionally fuck doesn't mean that I care about you any less!"

Roxy, in a rage, continued to make an ass out of herself. "The relationship has almost ended dozens of times; hell, Grunge and I, until just awhile ago, hadn't even touched each other in nearly a month! You know what a sex-crazed bastard he is... I wouldn't be surprised if he were upstairs fucking Sarah right now! I have needs, Bobby! Don't use those against me! You obviously weren't there for me, even though you promised you would be!"

Roxy suddenly paused, taking a deep breath. Tears whelled in her eyes and slowly streaked down her cheeks. She realized that she had just revealed her little secret emotions for Bobby...and felt terrible for doing it. Here she was, shivering under the cover of a single towel, screaming at Bobby for trying to be with one of his girlfriends out of pure jealousy, and she had a boyfriend. The word 'ashamed' couldn't even begin to describe what she was feeling.

Roxy suddenly turned, taking a few steps away from the livingroom. "I'm going upstairs now," she softly spoke in a voice of defeat. At a seemingly calm pace, Roxy reached the stairs and began to ascend, covering her face with a single hand once out of the sight of Bobby and Bliss.

Burnout

Bobby wanted with every bone in his body to stay with Bliss...but he cared for Roxy too much.

"Bliss," he said barely able to look at her." Look...just make yourself at home...i'll be back in a bit."

He started up the stairs at a run...til he got close to the top and saw Roxy just standing there.

"We need to talk." he said.

He took her by the arm and led her to his room.

Roxy attempted to pull her arm away, "Bobby, there's nothing to be said!"

She sniffled and wiped the tears from her eyes.

"See? I'm fine. 100% perfectly okay."

She tried to force a smile, but nothing came of it.

Burnout

"Bullshit," he said with a slight smile. "I shouldn't have said what i did...and i'm sorry."

"No you're not... But I sure as hell am." Roxy ment the statment to hurt Bobby, as if she were trying to take back her words about caring for him and needing him. But she knew she never could...which would only gnaw at her insides.

"Just go back downstairs and fuck Bliss," she spatted, turning her back to Burnout.

Burnout

Bobby pushed the door shut then walked up behind Roxy and wrapped his arms around her.

"I'm not going down stairs,Rox." he said.

"And why not?" she asked, once again trying to escape Bobby's touch. "That's what you want, I know it! You don't have to worry about me killing myself or whatever drastic thing you think I'm going to do, so you might as well go do your thing with Bliss."

Burnout

"Shit,Rox...don't you ever shut up?"

"Why don't you make me, Bobby? Why don't you treat me like some pathetic little girl you can command? That's how everyone else treats me... You might as well jump on the damned band-wagon."

He looked deep into her eyes and did the only thing he could think of...the thing he'd been thinking about all day...he pulled her to him and kissed her.

Roxy's eyes shot open with surprise, an obvious look of confusion crossing her face.

She nearly fought against Bobby, almost pushing him away from her. But she didn't. She stood there, frozen, unsure of how to react.

After a few moments, Roxy found herself wanting to return the kiss. But she couldn't. She was confused, and even a little scared, at what her emotions presented for her to do.

Burnout

Bobby broke the kiss and stepped back.He looked at Roxy and felt like an idiot. Here he had just made his move...and she didn't even respond.even pushing him away would have been better.he reached for the door handle to leave

"Wait..." Roxy said gently, reaching out for Bobby's hand. He looked back at her, still holding the door handle in his other hand.

"I need you, Bobby..." she softly admited, watching his eyes. "And I'm sorry that I do... I shouldn't be taking any of this out on you."

Burnout

"Hey..."he said."It's me we're talking about here.i'm used to it."

he grinned at her,and let go of the door handle.

"I know, Bobby... But still... It's unfair of me to expect you to do any of this for me."

She watched the lean guitarist for a few moments, noting that his hand had slipped from the door handle. She looked back into his eyes.

"And it's unfair that I hold anything back from you because of complications with my own emotional bullshit."

Roxy managed to muster a small smile. Gently she pulled Bobby towards her, softly carressing her own lips against his.

Burnout

Bobby held her tight.their mouth together. he moved around her and sat down on the bed...the kiss never breaking.

"User-friendly Freefall," Roxanne thought to her previous words. "Yeah, I think I just killed that idea..."

Roxanne continued to kiss Bobby, her height of passion only matched by what she was feeling inside. Suddenly, as they always seemed to plaque her at the worst times, Roxy felt a rush of thoughts.

She pulled back, looking at Bobby. "What the hell am I going to tell Grunge?" she asked in an almost panic voice.

Burnout

His hands around her waist...Bobby looks at Rozy and says, "well there's always 'It's over'."

"...Yeah..." Roxy lowered her eyes to the floor. Just minutes ago, Roxy was having steaming-hot sex with Grunge, and now she wanted to break up with him. She didn't think Grunge would be all that depressed about being single again... But what kind of person would that make her?

She looked to Bobby again. "What about Bliss?" she asked softly.

Burnout

"Well she is more or less my ex," He said. "We never really had anything serious."

His hand went to Roxy's face and he gently brushed a strand of hair from it.

"Why don't we cross that bridge when we get to it?"

"...But that bridge is here... On the couch..."

Roxy didn't mean to call Bliss a bridge, by any means, but she was going off from Bobby's expression.

"I'll tell you what," Roxy spoke incitefully, as if she had some amazing answer to their problem. "You go downstairs and talk to Bliss. Figure out if there is anything between the two of you. If there is, great -- maybe she'd abandon DV8 and join us. If there isn't, then maybe you and I would become a possiblity. But I, my friend, must go talk to Grunge... And Sarah."

The 'And Sarah' seemed to throw a loop into the conversation. Bobby looked to her quizzically.

"Sarah...ah...kinda walked in on Grunge and I and made an obscene display mimicing me..." she quickly explained.

"Anyways, get going. And get dressed first."
