Requires wingman, but the "Can you settle an argument" approach. While people watching at a bar, you spot attractive females, then you and your buddy think of topics that would interest them, and you choose opposing positions. Then one of you approach, and invite the women back to your table. You get them involved in the discussion, offer to buy them another round, and to share an appetizer platter. You are an idiot if you do not ask them to dance. Does not always get you laid that night, but you get phone numbers 9/10 of the time.

This works because the vast majority of females believe that they are smarter and more mature than the "boys" are. It's great bait. It also gives you the opportunity to see if they can have a decent conversation in a disagreement. Good conversation is super important. A woman that I cannot talk to gets boring real quick. Also, insight into how a particular woman argues is valuable intel. Not to mention, women like to talk, and women like to feel like someone is interested in what they have to say. This is why choice of topic is vital!

Now there are times where this goes horribly, comically, wrong. Women that are hit on often, know this technique, and intelligent women will steer the topic to something they know will bore/repulse/unnerve the guys.

There was also a time when we just grossly misjudged the level at which the women could converse. Either they were totally lost regarding the topic, or were acting vapid. Then there was the time I got totally schooled by a subject matter expert. Humbling, but damn I was turned on.
