That spammer dude left comments on mine. It seems I’ve never deleted any comments on the new U/I; can someone tell me how it’s done?

From "My Home" click on "Works"

Find your story, click on the little "Speech bubble" across the way from the title.

It will list the comments.

In the upper right hand corner of the comment you wish to delete is a "Trashcan" symbol. Click. Confirm deletion.

I have started reading from the bottom of the list up and after the first ten, I can honestly I am in awe of this groups talent. Such wide and varied stories and best of all humor! I have truly laughed out loud several times. You guys are awesome!

I will get through them all but with so many longer stories it will take some time.

Hahaha! Agreed, I've found talent, style, and humor, as well as atmosphere! Having a great time, and enjoying being able to comment on more stories.

Except that I'm skipping all over the place based on...errrr... probably very recent contact with the author ("fresh in mind"). But now I'm getting to the point where it's like looking over my box of chocolates, "Okay...what to choose next?"

And oddly, as much as I like lists...I can't seem to follow this one in any orderly fashion. WTF? I'm sure it makes sense on some level in my head...

I would second that. Especially coupled with the non-gentle, non-peace-loving sock.

I'll try to remember. Certainly pulling nominations from Event lists is a worthy idea I hadn't considered before...but probably because we need more Events outside the usual Contests first.

Still, this is a great start!

Aww! Thanks xellie! I'm also working my way up from the bottom as holiday weekend plans allow. I just hit biscuit-hammer's 16 page epic, and electricblue66's comes shortly after. I'm a little behind the rest of you, but climbing as fast as I can.

I've been working my way through the list alphabetically, and it's going slower that I'd like -- but I'm enjoying what I'm reading so far! I've also been very blessed with some thoughtful comments on my story that I've agreed with (I hadn't revealed that I posted my story without any editorial passes whatsoever in order to make the deadline, so it's a lot sloppier than I'd like, so I'm really happy with all the feedback I've gotten so far).

Often we make friends with other authors, trading stories, eyes, thoughts. Finding someone compatible is key. Not all thoughts, help, or advice is equal or helpful. If it feels like a struggle to communicate, if tempers flare and there are hard feelings, it's not a good match. It happens.

You can also post a request in the Editor's Forum: http://forum.literotica.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9

Always be specific with your request. Say in the post:

*Category, maybe something about the story to intrigue a reader

*Estimated word count (not page count, that means nothing)

*What kind of help you want (just proofreading for grammar/spelling, or thoughts on concept/characterization/pacing/etc.)

And remember to make sure you can receive PMs. Many who check the Editor's Forum looking for stories to offer help on don't post publicly that they are offering, for any number of reasons.

There is a section in Demon Blood I've decided I'd like to edit....a very small amount. It's in response to feedback I've received and I think I could clarify the section a bit better.

What happens to the story while I do that. Does it just disappear off the lists?

It seems to me to be doing very well, 5 fav, 1600+ views, hot label @ 4.54 and was there yesterday too. 39 votes and 14 comments.

I have no experience to draw on, but it's been a real confidence builder for me.

Does it take it out of publication if I do that or is there something else I should consider. It's my first so I'm not familiar with any processes and don't want to wreck any momentum.

If I may add...Do all of the above, AND:

In the "Notes to Admin" box, also add a link to your story.

It has happened that the edit is submitted for a different story with the same title, and "Demon Blood" is a common title. The error is not common, but mistakes happen, and putting a link to your story is your insurance against that happening.

Plus less hunting for Laurel. Less work. Good thing.

Once you write a few stories they will come out of the woodwork and possibly offer their services in feedback. Or maybe that's just me because my spelling and grammar are secondary to my story and it shows because I hate to edit, lol! I get at least two offers a week from readers these days, sadly


I got about halfway through the stories on the weekend and find I am up to the tentacley goodness of Simon Dooms offering. I'm looking forward to it. I will get to all of them this week I'm pretty determined...

Maria showed up a couple of times over the weekend. It's a real let-down, after the little lift from seeing that there is a new comment

On the other hand, I'm enjoying the feedback process. I'm slowly working my way through the stories. It's like sitting in front of the Scyfy channel (Space here in Canada) all day, but with great sex. I am really enjoying the variation in subject matter. My garden has suffered terribly! (I'll live!).
