A colleague asked me what I thought about "Michael Sam" I said "who?" He explained that he was the out gay guy who got drafted to the NFL. I said "so" he was like, "you have so many gay friends don't you care?" I said "to me this is a non issue, as long as they are consenting adults, I couldn't care less what sports player sleeps with whom"

But this......

Wow. Something to think about.

Thing I'm noticing is how many cartoonists this week have conflated 'being gay' with "wearing high heels" or "Having to wait for the nail polish to dry before charging the line" or similar bullshit like that.

Even ones who you'd think knew better.

Tebow was mocked and criticized for his faith and how he displayed it. To may double standards if you ask me. Play ball and leave the BS out of it.

And you are welcome to defend Tebow, as no doubt you did-- Sam has been insulted in ways that Tebow never endured. No one ever implied that Tebow wasn't a real man because of his faith.

I agree.

Sam shouldn't kiss his boyfriend or anyone else, every time he runs a play.

Tebow is welcome to display his faith off the field.

A quick Google image search finds me dozens of photos of Tebow making highly visible displays of his religion on the field, including Bible references written on his face.

As far as I know, Michael Sam has kept his sexuality entirely off-field.

But I agree with you on one thing: there's a massive double standard in play here.
