There's going to be a gay dating reality show. Sort of like the bachelor, only with a gay man as the main character. But the twist is that some of his potential suitors are straight. My first reaction is that it's great that there will be a gay dating show. But the whole twist makes me cringe. Part of me finds it a cruel twist. I know that it's totally a ratings thing, but what do you think?

I think that after the Jenny Jones case, they ought to be very careful about messing around with things like that.

I totally agree...the men vying for the gay bachelors attention will know that he doesn't know that they're not gay, but he doesn't. I think it's in poor taste.

Glam, don't know if there will be...but since it's like bravo, I doubt it

I think that the idea is very cruel because if The guy falls for one of the straight guys he'll just be hurt. It's pretty awful really.

I don’t think it is a good idea…. Why do they feel they have to hurt people for ratings?

I'm agreeing with the general concensus. It's just plain wrong to have the man thinking all of the others are gay and will accept him as a potential mate.

yes but what if one of the straight guys suddenly comes out of the closet...its shock vaue reality based television. you know they have to throw that in somewhere ("I was straight but he was just so cool i couldnt help wondering what it would be like...")

i hate all these types of shows...ive never bothered watching the bachelor or who wants to marry a millionairre.

There used to be a local talk show here in the city that had a gay dating game segment which was *a lot* of fun to watch.

ratings=money?

It’s amazing what some people will do for money… No amount of money would make me lie and hurt someone’s feelings.

They had numerous ads for "Boy Meets Boy" during last night's premiere of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" - it's going to start July 29th.

I can't help but be a little bit grumpy that they're starting with gay men. I guess nobody wants to see lesbians. *sigh*

Most people wouldn't be "shocked " if a woman who was straight fell for a lesbian as it seems to be the general consensus
that woman are more sexually open. It's the taboo that going to attract some people. Also lesbianism or the allusion to lesbianism is more prominent in T.V so a show based around males is going to stand out even more.
