Romney +1 (49/48). Just a two weeks ago they had Romney +7 so this is a major swing toward Obama.

”Theoretically, there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed" Obama

Our local paper did a victory lap after their poll indicated Obama is losing by 6% rather than 7%.

Wrong thread?

I'd like a link but I'm also curious what the problem is with the statement.

Yes, and this is among "likely voters," which Gallup has clearly been more restrictive in identifying than most of the other polls--whether that's a mistake or not, I suppose we'll see tomorrow.

Real Clear Politics now has 49 Senate seats in the Dems column with seven toss-ups. Four of those lean Dem, three lean Republican, and one (MT) is a coin flip. It will be interesting to see how the Senate pans out, but it looks like we could end up with no change assuming Angus King aligns with the Democrats.

Most of us are busy planning how we're gonna celebrate Obamas asswhupping tomorrow.

Why the fuck can't Florida organise an election with some degree of competency?

I think most of the polls, especially media driven polls, are using 2008 methodology that is no longer realistic and are designed primarily to manage the election results. I cannot believe that a national media bent for the last four years on enhancing Obama's chances of reelection, to the point of denying the truth to the American people, are all of a sudden gripped by a change in heart and purpose to start telling them the truth.

Tomorrow will tell the tale.

And the whole point of conservatives backing Gallup's methodology is because they don't do that.

They don't want an organized, competent election down here.

I was just watching the BBC news. Lines as far as the eye could see outside polling places. It was like watching something from the third world.
