That's interesting. I've read (and heard) the same thing before.

The problem, as I see it, is that the variance is large with women. Many have never found theirs simply because they cannot be reached by fingers. Insertables then become valuable when used at the right time and in the right way. I've never felt mine topically (with fingers) but am CERTAIN when it's being hit. That doesn't surprise me. I imagine the locations range vastly. Some are probably pretty up close and personal while others are further back. No on has said anything about when (and under what circumstances) their g-spot becomes active, however. I'm curious about this.
