It's a good technique that works for most but it is a suggestion. Variations ARE allowed. Find what works best for you and your partner. Show your partner the thread. Talk it out. Don't make any unreal expectations but go with it if it works for you.

Also do NOT expect any change in the intensity of your orgasm(s) if you are ejaculating. It is a separate sensation more associated with relief than and intensification of the actual orgasm. Look on this site's Blank Manual. I'm sure I saw something there on how to train your body to do it. But it's just a by-product of an orgasm (actually, one of many by-products), not an end in itself, and it's perfectly possible to have a stunning G-spot orgasm without squirting, so don't lose any sleep over if it you're missing that particular experience, if the rest of your sex life is good.

And I think that katbound's original post belongs in the Blank Manual, too. It's one of the best write-ups I've seen on how to explore that part of your sexuality. I only wish I'd had that information when I was a teenager.
