mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm New Orleans....... I had the great fortune to go before the hurricanes and loved that city. I nearly filled two whole notebooks with ideas, vignettes and ideas just from soaking up the atmosphere.

Did you happen to see if Uglisich's was open yet?

I think it was but it wasn't on my short list so I can't be sure.

The quarter is great but there tend to be long lines in eateries.

The rest of the city except for a few tourist areas and the places that just happened to be above sea level are devastated. Not much progress has been made as far as I can tell. Get this, they have 3% unemployment there right now. I wonder what the housing percentages are though?

Just to let those that are interested know, I will be leaving on a trip tomorrow!
Once I am on the road, I don't expect to post here again for at least four days.
I'm not gone yet but once I am I will miss y'all.

Hopefully I'll be back with some lovely, not banned by photobucket pictures when I return. I also hope to find my muse again on this trip.
