Thank you Senator McConnell for all the Trump appointees you got confirmed to the federal judiciary, and especially for the three fine SCOTUS judges and for keeping that slime ball Obama nominee Merrick Garland from getting confirmed. I'll be damned. There was a provision in the original reconciliation bill to transfer control over the decrepit RFK football stadium from the Federal government to the District of Columbia last night. DC wanted the land to redevelop the site and bring the Commanders back to town.

It was stripped from the reconciliation bill, but somehow passed both house and senate (!!!!) by unanimous consent last night right before midnight and is on President Biden's desk for signature. I can only imagine it was put up for a vote when LooneyTunes Senator Rand Paul left to take a shit.

Still left out the $191 million for pediatric research after President-elect Musk ordered it out. Fox News talking head Jessica Tarlov ripped President-elect Musk a new asshole. No word yet if President-elect Musk will have her deported.

In other news, Vice-president elect Trump publicly disagreed with one of his most fervent Congressional supporters, Chip "the Asshole" Roy, congressman from Texas.

We're livin' in interesting times, folks.

I still predict Elon and Don will have a very public falling out by no later than March 2025.

Janet Yellen tells Congress US could hit debt limit in mid-January

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said her agency will need to start taking “extraordinary measures,” or special accounting maneuvers intended to prevent the nation from hitting the debt ceiling, as early as January 14, in a letter sent to congressional leaders Friday afternoon.

"Treasury expects to hit the statutory debt ceiling between January 14 and January 23," Yellen wrote in a letter addressed to House and Senate leadership, at which point extraordinary measures would be used to prevent the government from breaching the nation's debt ceiling — which has been suspended until Jan. 1, 2025.

So in January the Republicans need to elect a Speaker of the House of Clowns and raise the debt limit.

The Free-Dumb Caucus is going to have a field day.
