Many years ago during an Olymoic Winter Games, I became interested in where the USA is in relation to other countries of the world. There was considerable criticism directed towards our athletes not performing as well as smaller European countries. It became very interesting to see how we relate to others geography wise!

A few examples;
Paris lies right on the northern US border (48 contiguous states)
London is 120 miles north of the Canadian border
Rome is the same as Hartford, CT
Madrid is about 20 miles south of NYC
Denver is about 70 miles south of Naples
Atlanta is just north of Damascus, LA about 25 miles north of there
Cairo and New Orleans are the same
Miami is about 185 miles south of Tenerife

Ozzy's?
Hobart is equivalent to Milwaukee
Darwin would be 600 miles "south" of Honolulu
Sydney is just "north" of Phoenix
Melbourne and San Francisco are the same
Perth and El Paso are equal

Streets and Trips works well because it has a "Location Sensor" in the tools. If you don't have that, grab a globe.

Where in the world do YOU live? I'm just "outside" Jaipur and near Caloundra, Australia!
