Latest update: Greetings from off-line. I’ve tried everything I can think of and nothing’s worked. I’m even tried a “system restore”, but for some reason I wasn’t able to go back in time far enough to the pre-pop-up days. It would only take me back to last month, at which time I already had some problems. So I’m still unable to work on-line. I can read stuff okay, but if I try to write anything online my keyboard locks up or gets hijacked, and if I try to write in Word with IE running, Word can get hijacked too.
I tried spyware detecters, pop-up blockers, spy-ware innoculators, registry cleaners, and nothing seems to help, so I guess I’m going to have to find out how to erase my whole hard drive and reload Windows.
My sincere thanks to all who offered help. I truly appreciate it. The only thing I can say is that if I get this thing fixed, I will never, ever download anything ever again.
