I haven't thought of this before.

Typed in Google.com in my browser. I remember there was a link to sme general corporate info there, like most companies have. HQ adress, organisation, CEO bio, that kinda shit. Needed to check a few numbers for an article I'm working on.

But no. Due to my ip number, I get redirected to the local Google.se. Which doesn't have that info. Plus, I don't get the funky modified Google logos anymore. I'll bet there's a Turkey Day version that I don't get to see right now.

Sucks.

I still get it all at the Google canada site, whatcha need?

Isn't there a "Google.com in English" link at the bottom of the .se page? There's one at the .pt one...

FYI- The turkey is resting its feet in a big chair, and trying to ignore the dishes that need to be washed
and, when I typed in google.se there is a link to google in English, bottom right- takes you right to google.com :)

There was. But now it goes to a separate english language version, which is different form the US version, and doesn't have all the info.

And still no turkey logo. Ah well.

Ah, I see the problem. Google cleaned up its homepage a while back. Click on the "about Google" link on the English language page.

It's the same Google, honest!

Ummmm, why? I might be missing something there.
I believe it bothers him when people use it as a verb.. "Go google it.."

I know that bothers me.. I say "search" personally..

Ah, thank you. Yes, I usually say "search" myself. Though I think I heard something about "google" being added to a dictionary to mean searching. Wonder what the people at Google would have to say about that?

I'm sure it makes them jump for joy!

But one reason everyone here is typing "google" is that Google is the subject of the topic. Not?

Which reminds me- have you guys seen the new surfing tool- stumbleupon.com? It's just brilliant!

No, I'll have to check it out. For a laugh, I'd recommend www.msdewey.com Try searching for rap music three or four times to get all the variations. Only really good if you have a fast connection. My dial up doesn't let it work.
