Hey buddy, I'm sorry if this post gives ya problems but, I have a problem here, I just don't understand how a man who is so sensitive to the loss of his little pal as you were/are can a few days later wish to go and shoot beautiful creatures like elks or, anything else living actually??

I just don't understand this "hunting" thing, I could understand shooting "useful" things like errmmmm terrorists for example!

Even though I'm in England, I still fucking shoot, I shoot shotguns and I shoot clay pigeons (no terrorists ever come into my sights yet but.....)

Not wanting to upset you or anyone and i do hear the call of "they need to be culled" here but, I believe that they only need culling due to human intervention in the first place, hunting predators out of existence and denigration of habitat too!

That view doesn't upset me Sal. It's an honest opinion of how you see those things. I don't agree....maybe can understand from someone who is a vegitarian. Oherwise not.

Part of it is "our" culture and history here in the States. People hunted wild game to supplement feeding their families, and many still do. I'm not a trophy hunter. I do love the taste of venison, and would take it over a prime steak.

Back in '79, I didn't like the political, economic and social feel of things. Moved my family out in the country. Learned how to live off the land. In the course of that, I raised goats, hogs and rabbits for meat and milk. We named the hogs after someone who had been particularly evil...knowing they were for slaughter.
A psychological insulation, because raising them, you get attached. I wouldn't name or play with wethers born from the does...knowing the same. They were for meat.

Point is that there is a certain degree of hypocrisy in condemning the taking of an animals life by hunting and going to the market for the evening steak. In one there is the comraderie of pals, the exultation of what nature has done and given us. In the other it is is nice sterile enviroment where we don't feel we have gotten our hands dirty.

That's my fucking take on it anyways.

Thanks {{{{Liza}}}} It takes until the insulation in the walls is all fucking dried out. They did put a powerful fan up. Then they can replace the part of the wall they took out.

It hasn't caused any real problem for me. At least not yet!!!
