Nah...sorry to say. Between the clouds and the city lights. If you're up really late, or really early....check out the fucking meteor showers from the Eastern sky. 3 to 5am or so.

Well fuck, I missed them... we went down to the beach one night (a few years back) to watch the meteor showers, and were surprised to find about 20 people there at 11:30 - the beach is usually deserted by 9 or 10 pm.

The last time we saw the aurora b. was Sunday night, about 8:45. There were several groupings of vertical streaks in the northern sky... shimmering... mostly white but if you watched long enough you could see some faint color change. Wish I'd had my camera along. I was impressed because I'd never seen them before.

God, wouldn't you love being able to walk outside at night and seeing this fucking sight? I bet Carrie gets to see the lights a lot from the UP.

I just saw the fucking northern lights a couple of years ago for the first fucking time. Up in the middle of a lake in northern Maine (fucking nowhere), paddling around in a canoe after inhaling the smoke of a fucking illicit substance..wasn't sure I was really seeing it at first. Vertical white bars started on the horizon, rising up, then moving across the sky slowly. Fucking blew my mind!

LMAO... that must have been one hell of a fucking experience. I can imagine you rubbing your eyes... and finding that the fucking lights were still there!

About five years ago I found a branch of relatives in Canada that none of us had a fucking clue about. My great grandfathers sister married a Canadian and moved to Maple Creek, Sask in the 1880s, then to Calgary about 1903. Their daughter married into the McFarland family, those that built the McFarland Home in lower Ontario. Interesting fucking stuff.
