At the sense of community, and caring, and sharing, within our little group. Which expands everyday. We welcome you all.

I second WD's assessment.

Sometimes i'm almost moved to tears at the sensitivity and caring that so many here offer so unstintingly. This concern is offered to those who are "us" as openly as it's offered to those who wander in confused and filled with questions.

Sometimes i'm buoyed by the incredible level of expertise we toss into the common pot of knowledge, each of us with something new or special to add, even the newbies. (The newbies often ask such very good questions, questions that get us all to thinking and refining our opinions and feelings. Additionally, they often have an almost uncanny ability to see what the rest of us have looked at so long that we can't see it clearly anymore.)

I'm forever gratified by our collective ability to say "i don't know". If we can say that, we can learn.

Finally, i'm quietly elated almost all the time at the tolerance and open-mindedness i see displayed toward others here. People here play in all ways, at all levels, with varying degrees of intensity, and utilizing the expression of different needs and desires. I've watched carefully as y'all recognized those who might want and do thier version of BDSM differently than you do yours... and watched the careful respect given to them, too.

I'm still, always, proud to be among you.
You're a really fine bunch of perverts.

I think that in any community the tone is set by those at the top. It's the example of those most involved that creates an atmosphere as conducive to education and caneraderie as you have established here. As an eager learner, my thanks to the moderators , and to the other friendly and knowledgeable posters.

I've posted on other boards and in email groups, so I know it is rare to be able to keep discussion going for very long without flaming or "my kink is better than your kink" nonsense. My hat is off to everyone participating here, moderators and posters both.

Was it really just last July?

It was only Jan 30,2002 that i discovered Lit. i'd never participated in a forum of any kind. i didn't know any better. i tried it.

After a whirlwind month (as of the 14th) i've discovered not only the heartbreakingly beautiful erotic tales i came for, but i've had the dusty drapes blown off my long ignored windows.

BDSM wasn't even a four letter word in my vocabulary before, now it's a volume many inches thick.

My feeling echoes CarolineOh's:

The standard for honesty, openness, candor and acceptance you've set here makes this the warmest place i've ever found. (outside of HELL<jk>)

You people are to be congratulated. As i said before "i didn't know any better", now that i've looked around a good deal, i don't think "any better" exists.

:heart:Bless you and Thank you:heart:

I have to agree

I've visited other forums and been in several chats and I've most often been met with indifference or out right contempt for not knowing what others perceived to know.
When a question would be asked by me, it would go unanswered for days if at all.
This environment truly is one of understanding and acceptance regardless of what one's flavor of kink might be.
I've said it before in another string but I'm happy to repeat it. It's commonly believed that those of us in here are the very worst of society where I feel you all are the very best it has to offer.
I see the streams and the links and the effort that goes into making this a success and, I must say, at times it must seem like such a thankless job.
But this is my resource home now. I feel welcomed and understood here. (only wish they had clubs or groups in my area that offered the same)

Thank you for all your efforts. Whether they post these sentiments or just think them, I (for one) am greatful.

I find it really interesting that WD started this, as he has been anything but accepting to me.

I find it really interesting that in the vast majority of your posts you are whining about how mean everyone here is.

You can't mention being a switch without complaining you are discriminated against, and now you can't see a thread started back in 2002 (why the hell was this bumped, anyway), without bitching that you've felt slighted by the OP? Huh?

I was not aware of the original post time.

I am unsure as to why you concentrate on my negative posts.

I have many other posts you know.

I also do not understand why you defend folks like him.

I was led to believe...

that this site was one that was inclusive...

I am beginning to think I was wrong.

I believe that I tried to take your advice about hypersensitivity...

apparently I failed.

I am sorry.

Ah, you've been to Usenet.
<grin>

I've personally found this board to be cyber-home to so many openhearted people. Even though newbies post the same questions all the time they are all treated as individuals and almost always a point comes out that makes me think. I'm also fascinated by the deeper, philosophical discussions that are had here and humbled by how well read people are when they contribute.

I've personally received a great deal of loving guidance and support on this forum and have never bothered with any of the others simply because I have never once needed to.

Wouldloveto, if you have issues with writerdom and others, that's between you and them. Pm them or keep it to yourself but don't assume that everybody else is interested in having petty issues thrown into threads like gauntlets. It's a hijack and therefore rude IMO. I for one am disappointed that such a positive thread got pissed all over so quickly.

Listen you whiny little bitch, you didn't exist in my world until you started attacking me for no reason. So don't talk to me about being accepting.

Just how long did it take you to find some ancient thread to start this shit up again?

I really think you have some kind of obsession with me. Maybe you should see some help from a health care professional.

Yeah..exactly...."What she said!!!'

FTR....WriterDom has never been anything but nice to me and was there for me a few months back when i really needed a friend.

I think WD will agree with me that this forum has definitely had its growing pains. However, it has survived and grown farther than anyone imagined in the beginning I'm sure.

I think expanding the original "intent" behind this forum was one of the major factors for success personally. All in all I feel the Lit BDSM forums are among the best I've been to, and I've been to a few... ;)

I have to agree. IMO, despite our occasional differences of opinion, I have a lot of respect and admiration for WD and wish there were more than just a few who were here in the beginning, who are still here. He has given, and continues to give a lot to the forum and those on it, both online and behind the scenes I suspect. :rose:

Ok, so you didn't bump it up. Our solution is pretty simple. You leave me alone and I'll leave you alone. And then I won't have to put you on ignore again.

And I'm not a welcome mat person. On rare occasions I have welcomed someone new. If you are upset that I didn't give you a hug then I'm sorry. If this is because of my political beliefs, well, I can't help you there. You'll just have to go fuck yourself.
