It's a little windy to sit on the porch today, so I think I'll just curl up on a sofa or something else soft and sip some chamomile tea.

Anything going on today? I'm just planning on watching movies with my kids today and enjoying time with them.

Nice to see so many relaxing in the wonderful calming atmosphere here . I've been stretching myself too thin and still not keeping up with things the way I need to be right now as things stand...Ii yi yi....but I thought I'd stop by for a moment's renaissance and restoration before taking on the afternoon.

Morning everyone. This weekend was a rather full one. From yard work to work around the house to a couple of computer jobs. Didn't really get to relax much. Last night was a long night and got awaken at 6am and have not been able to go back to sleep. So if I am slow to respond, it is because I am wore out.
I am going to try and take it easy today. Altho late afternoon and tonight I have some things going on. I sure hope I get to take a nap sometime today.
It is very cool here this morning and had to kick the heat back on. Got down in to the 30s and only going to be close to low 70s today.

Saw the video of the damage from the tornado that hit Greensburg Kanasa. Those people really need our thoughts and prayers. If it had not been for a young guy at the National Weather Service, the death toll would have been much higher. They were given a 20 minute alert. That even gave the Seniors time to get shelter. After looking at the footage it reminded me of the damage from Hurricane Andrew. 200 mph winds! That is just unbelieveable. According to the weather reports, that area is expected to get hit again. This could be a really bad year for tornados and hurricanes.

I was going really slow yesterday Spence, didn't get enough sleep either. Last night was a bit better. I think I'll be in bed earlier tonight, for sure. I feel worn out.

The manager is just here in my apt putting some grout in the shower tiles and continuing to do another part to fix the wall where the intercom was removed.

Hello~! Any of that lemonade or tea left? I was out mowing the lawns and weeding some. I hate weeds but they do get me in touch with the soil and the mint and the scents of fresh mown grass...so I think I will be grateful for the weeds today. That peppermint is just wonderful and it's just starting really. Lotsa old lemon balm out there but all brown...no new green stuff yet. I'll finish the back yard and yank out the old lemon balm this evening after the sun goes down. I get hot afternoon sun in my back yard and though it's gorgeous here...it WAS hot.

The apple tree doesn't have many blossoms this year. It's too big. Last few years I got apples consistently. Don't think there will be many this year...which is probably good. Rose bush looks manageable this year...It was an unweildy thing last spring...and I chopped the berry bushes very low in the fall...broke the rules for the raspberries...so I'm not sure what will happen with them.

I am not much of a yard man. Just mow it and weed whack it. That is about the yard stuff I do. I have too much sinus problems to get in it and dig and play and plant. I would be sneezing my head off. However, you and aboutface need to chat some. She is a huge yard and garden person. You two would hit it off just right.

Thanks, and I hope you start to get some sleep too. It does really negatively affect your day without sleep the night before. I'm just watching the news and apparently there is another tornado going through the midwest. Those poor people.

We are expecting flooding here in B.C along the frasier river, I dont' think its going to be to bad n the area I live in. Everyone is hoping that there is less rain and a slow thaw of the snow on the mountains.

It's a cooler day today as well as overcasted. This past week has been very busy for me. Have hardly had any time to myself. And it has been HOT! In the 90s and that is hot for where I live at this time of the year. That means summer is going to be really hot! Hmmmm maybe I need to make the porch an air conditioned one!
Well here I am sitting on the porch and enjoying the cool morning. It is around 70 is supposed to be up near 85 with showers. Then for Sunday, sunny and cooler with a hi around 75.
Tea will be what I am drinking today... the lemonade got to me after a few days.
So hope all of you will have a great weekend and HAPPY MOTHER's DAY to all our moms!

Hey hon... yea those frogs and crickets sure do make a nice sound. The only thing I really hate at this time of the year is the whinny noise of the mosquito. That is a sound I just hate! Those little blood suckers love my skin for some reason and I just get bitten really bad. Altho it is not as bad up north as it was when I lived on the coast.

Sipping on some water. Ever get where water is just the only thing you care for?

Speaking of sounds I also like the sounds of bubbling water and wind chimes. I used to have one of those fountains in my office that ran all the time and a tiny wind chime that a fan would blow from time to time. They are packed away somewhere. I need to pull them out as I set up my office. Well not the fountain. For some reason that thing stop working. Looks like I need to get another one.

Hope you Mother's day has been a nice one. Today has been nice with just the right temp of 75! I love it where it is warm but not too warm (sorry AB... I know you love the sun and the hot temps.) I hate it when it is too hot. Where you take off all your clothes and your still too hot! Summers on the coast with no breeze. YUCK! That is HOT!
