Free E-Books

$1000 a month seems like a lot but I'm glad to hear you are doing the research.
Erin

Erin,
How many ebooks do you have selling right now?

The $1000 a month is a goal for down the road. But, I like what Joe Konrath says, something like "Infinity is a long time so start right now. "

I am doing the research. I've now read another of my stories and feel they stand up. I also have some I've just never posted on Lit because I was tired of giving them away. The coomnts from horny girls were nice. I even wrote a back and forth piece with a lady in Australia. Though the "I gave the old dick a good stroke" emails were not necessary. Ah well, what the hell.

Going from a Lit upload to an ebook is not that much further, so why not.

A target of $1,000/month? Have about 70 titles (not short stories--at least novellas) in the market that are all selling at a pretty good rate (regularly in the top 100,000 in sales in the Kindle library).

Erin,
I see nine stories on Amazon. Do you have others elsewhere? Are these former Lit stories by chance?

Sr - so I am glad I m polishing the first story tonight instead of tomorrow.

Sr-I had been targting 50 stories, 70 is not too many to ask for. It helps me to be able to do some calculations; each tiem I write one it will transate into "X" dollars, soemthign liek that. I've read a lot of your posts and Carl's posts and think I have a pretty good idea.

It still beats giving them away for free.

Smashwords just had a week long promotion and I moved 300+ books in six days, which came as quite a surprise. I find that offering a free read now and then brings in buyers...dunno... my current free ebook is: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/34063 Annie, an adult romance with a mystery and a twist...

Good luck!

Pseudonyms

I am considering using the pseudonym Sensual Improv instead of Sexual Improv from here on out. I own both websites and the twitter feed for each one.

Am I overthinking this and should continue with Sexual Improv, or do you think that using Sensual instead of the word Sexual will help me on Amazon and other sites?

Thoughts?
