With Trump in charge of western defence, the end is nearer than it's ever been in our history.

Oh, come on, that man isn't even in charge of his tie.

But really folks, I think we need to curb the politics before we get smited by the hand of . . . . the moderator.

The Moderator... that sounds like some kind of name they would give to a new weird move in "professional" wrestling.

Forgive me, Miss, but :-
I think the word is "Smitten".

But please don't smite me too hard. I'm not into pain . . .

Smited is apparently the past participle, but I'm not even sure what that means anymore as it has been years since I took my English degree.

You prefer fur-lined handcuffs and feather whips, eh? :D

.

Fur lined handcuffs sound intriguing but you can keep the feathers.

Now who was the idiot who reckoned that the 'net would make the world into a global village ?

The wonders of the internet where a simple connection gives you...

...access to almost every bit of knowledge ever discovered

...instant communication with someone around the corner or around the world

...the ability to see history in the making as it occurs

And yet, we use it to primarily to surf porn and share pictures of cats.

I'm pretty certain cats invented the internet to distract the monkeys while cats continue with their plans to dominate the universe.

Cats Have No Lord by Will Shetterly. Found that book in my community college library paperback section and I've never forgotten it. Strange what one remembers.

And they give us bacon! Om nomnomnom.

It's not widely known, but Prometheus stole both fire and bacon from the gods.

The gods didn't care about the theft of fire--they figured humans would eventually kill themselves by fucking around with it anyway, so it wasn't much of a prize.

BUT BACON. THAT'S THE FOOD OF THE GODS.

And that's why Prometheus was punished. :D True story.

Makes more sense than a lot of things I've read lately. :D

Clearly, this is why Polish people traditionally cook liver and onions in bacon fat. The onions represent Prometheus tears of remorse and pain as the Eagle pecked out his liver daily. Though . .. we don't cook human liver. That would just be . . . icky.

Does that come with muffins and jam?

.

Not usually (we don't have jam at Breakfast).
But I might rise to the dizzy heights of Toast & Marmalade.
It depend upon [a] how hungry I am, and whether my Doctor would approve.
( is quite rare these days.)

Or the games I see you play
