Video games and I never got along. Now give me a good old fashioned, pinball machine, a small stack of quarters, and thirty minutes or so to figure it out...

I simply wasn't allowed to play video games. Have enjoyed some games on Kindle in the past couple years though.

Oh, how true.
I remember one summer (school holidays) when my Dad had a serious moan at me for playing out; he figured that I should have been reading more. The following year he had another moan that I wasn't getting enough fresh air and had my nose stuck in a book all the time.
Sometimes, you cannot please parents. . . .

I grew up living two blocks from the library and had to walk past it twice a day to get to and from school. Learning to love reading was just a given.

It's not every boy who lives so close to the British Library, now is it ?
On the other hand, joining a local library ain't difficult.
