Used to catch 'lobbies' as a kid out of a small creek, using cotton and a piece of meat. Best place was right where this dead cat was in the water, rotting away. lol... It was literally crawling with them.

I did try to book a holiday in the whisky country of Speyside, I found a charming place being run by a conservationist, willing to take you on trips to local distilleries, you could stay in his charming house having meals cooked by his charming wife. But when I read that while fishing lessons were being conducted, 'wives' could go for walks in beautiful local scenery, for some reason I lost interest.

Apocalypse Now makes me think of Fraser's The Golden Bough. I think there acksherly is a copy of it lying among Kurtz's things.
