Although going barefoot through the right kind of sand can be good for your feet. :)

wonderful things but so temporary..wiped out by the next high tide..I guess they'd be a good lesson for life's triumphs and tribulations.

nah that's not it...that's to do with the aesthetics of old things, worn in but not worn out. I kinda live by that! <snerk>

Patches, like the tweed patches on my 30 year old cardigan. I finally got to the stage where one whole side is just patches. It has more patches than cardigan now. Some of the patches are so old that they wore through. I darn them with sock wool :)

I'll have some good Cheddar cheese with my crackers, thank you.

But I see that garlic is supposed to repel Rabbits & Moles, so a bit in your garden might be of some good.
