Yes. I come here to escape to a certain extent. Among other things. By and large this is a welcoming and friendly community of like minded people that need to express themselves probably because they can’t do it in real life…like me.

Why you’d want to come to a site about sex/kinks/fetishes and start laying down a political diatribe is beyond me? It has to be the most unsexy thing I can think of when trying to get into a kinky or sexy headspace.

My advice. Just don’t. Resist the Dark Side! The Force is with you and strong on our side!

I'm a very political person but I just don't do online discussions especially with "my fellow Americans." There is just too much ignorance about even basic definitions of words. I think the best summary of the situation came from Noam Chomsky.

Except now people are so fed up they are ready to kill each other over the perceived differences between a center right and far right political party.

YES I am not here for politics .I do watch and talk enough politics and I just dont see this as a place for politics / I like to read and talk about Masturbation , Mutual Masturbation _ swapping partners _ oral sex and more ..I too avoid jumping in to political posts as well Bea ...Lets keep it Horny and all about Sex

To me the worst form of politics here is more subtle, it’s the posters who try to impose their view that all men think X while all women think Y and they get very defensive when you give examples of women or men who behaved contrary to those generalizations.

I think the political chats are hilarious as no one seems to agree, and no one will be swayed by the other so they all end in people fighting and yelling. True though that most actual conversations in regards to politics end much the same way. I think people go there because they enjoy a good fight. Plus yeah if you step into the lion's den there will be teeth.

Normally, I’d ignore politics on here. However, I won’t just sit back and do nothing if I see people being needlessly attacked. Such as the growing violence toward trans-people even though I am not trans. It’s even more perplexing in these forums, where you get to select their topics. There are plenty of topics that don’t interest me. I’m not wasting any of my time to go through and express my disapproval.

Only recently, I was in the thread for art of trans-women with cis-women. Some random jack-ass made some crude post about trans-women. I replied how silly it was to come into a thread they clearly weren’t interested in only to attack people like a coward.

I‘m not a big fan of fence-sitters in the area of racial/gender prejudice. It’s no difference than the issue of segregation. Some people aggressively or violently defended segregation because they saw it as the norm. Sitting on the sidelines only helps the oppressors and never the oppressed. Even in a forum about sex and having a good time.
