I am sitting in a trailer all night in the middle of Nowhere in southern Virginia.
Hey... At least I am getting paid to be out here, by myself
I moved everything on my deck. Did the walk around my house. Food shopping to cover three days without power. Now starts Season Two of Breaking Bad on Netflix, I have a lot to catch up on. If I lose power, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest is waiting for me in paperback.
(Just North of New York City here.)
I've watched the "team coverage" of this storm. Is a trailer in Nowhere, VA the safest place to be?

My sail boat has extra ropes and two anchors out, now the wait.
My rescue team is on alert
Good thing you appear to be holding her down if the waves get strong.
I like my lake.... beautiful views.... and no tides.
But it was sad to see almost all the boats leave. It truly means the beginning of winter now.
Next will be the lake freezing and the start of ice fishing.
I own my own lake, I call it the Atlantic.
*laughing* I love that.
How far do you sail?
Far? In a hurricane?
No, No.... not in the hurricane. I meant in general, how far do you sail? How much of "your lake" have you covered?
We are expecting rain and trees on homes
