FOX settles lawsuit

Senators demand to know why election vendors still sell voting machines with ‘known vulnerabilities’

Four senior senators have called on the largest U.S. voting machine makers to explain why they continue to sell devices with “known vulnerabilities,” ahead of upcoming critical elections.

The letter, sent Wednesday, calls on election equipment makers ES&S, Dominion Voting and Hart InterCivic to explain why they continue to sell decades-old machines, which the senators say contain security flaws that could undermine the results of elections if exploited.

“The integrity of our elections is directly tied to the machines we vote on,” said the letter sent by Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Mark Warner (D-VA), Jack Reed (D-RI) and Gary Peters (D-MI), the most senior Democrats on the Rules, Intelligence, Armed Services and Homeland Security committees, respectively. “Despite shouldering such a massive responsibility, there has been a lack of meaningful innovation in the election vendor industry and our democracy is paying the price,” the letter adds.

why werent they sued?
Each state has its own regulations and requirements.

This is why HR1 should have passed in 2021.

According to multiple reports, Faux Entertainment agrees to pay Dominion $787.5m.

In a statement, Faux said that “we are pleased to have reached a settlement of our dispute with Dominion Voting Systems. We acknowledge the Court’s rulings finding certain claims about Dominion to be false. This settlement reflects Faux’s continued commitment to the highest journalistic standards. We are hopeful that our decision to resolve this dispute with Dominion amicably, instead of the acrimony of a divisive trial, allows the country to move forward from these issues.”

You don't settle for 750m if you didn't fuck up. You just cannot go before a court with this because you would get absolutely shellacked. It will be interesting to see what happens next cus isn't there another lawsuit out there?
Yes, Smartmatic.

Fox will just say they didn't lose (like Trump does when he has to settle a lawsuit like this) and that will satisfy the quality of moron who follows Faux Views to begin with (as it does with them when Trump gets caught fleecing them and has to settle). I would have much rathered seen this go to trial.

several!
“Fox has admitted to telling lies about Dominion that caused enormous damage to my company,” Dominion CEO John Poulos said.
Dominion still has a string of other defamation cases over 2020 election fraud claims that remain pending, as the voting company has sued far-right attorneys Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani; MyPillow and its CEO Mike Lindell; former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne and right-wing networks One America News and Newsmax. Rival voting company Smartmatic has also sued Fox News and several of its anchors, along with other defendants, over related fraud claims involving its machines. That case is still pending, after an appeals court ruled in February it could move forward.

does this mean that the judge-appointed special master looking into the withholding by fox of certain evidence will now NOT move forward, due to the settlement, or is it deemed a separate if connected issue?

The special master appointment came nearly a week after Davis sanctioned Fox News and its parent company, Fox Corp., for not turning over evidence in a timely fashion. The judge said at the time that he was considering a launching an investigation and censuring the company.

Elzufon can request depositions with whomever he wishes, and the associated costs must be paid by Fox. The special master must provide a written report about his investigation no later than 4 p.m. ET on May 15, according to Tuesday's four-page filing.

Amen to that. Might be fun to watch Tucker tonight

I bet he won't say shit.
I think, given the audience, that he might just triple down--and that that will be fine with his audience. If Fox was going to rein him in on this, they already would have done so. The settlement gives them room to convince the idiots listening to them that they actually won the case. And Carlson doesn't have any personal brake mode.

Does this mean that Fox News isn't really news and that they have no journalistic integrity?

Are they the Ministry of Misinformation?

I agree. Fox network is led by professional liars who will do anything to make money. Their gross lying will continue, so long as they retain the moronic portion of the American populace as viewers. They have already started spinning the meaning of the settlement.

It is a great loss to journalistic integrity that Fox leadership will not have to testify under oath regarding the Dominion case.

787.5 million W’s for those who KNEW ALL ALONG that Faux “News” and other right wing “sources” we’re the ACTUAL “lying, fake media”, and TRIED to get the brainwashed RWCJ “members” to WAKE UP (get woke) to that REALITY.

👉 RWCJ “members” 🤣
