Fox "news" Cannot Be Trusted

Trump's goal is to leave people so misinformed and confused about the truth that they are more and more dependent on Trump's word. Trump may capitalize on some horrible event happening to the United States. Donald Trump has made some very scary declarations that the way to unite a country is through some catastrophe. Trump says that he hopes such a horrible thing does not happen but that is the way a leader can unite the county. Donald Trump has stripped anti-terrorism programs of their resources. He has defunded many national security programs that combat terrorism. If a calamity took place, Donald Trump would use it to declare martial law or some type of ongoing national emergency.

Well said

Fox is engaging in fear-mongering, hate mongering and conspiracy theories. They've pushed the narrative that President Obama was born in Kenya, that Hillary Clinton is some sort of master criminal and that George Soros controls the FBI and the State Department.

Fox 'news" is the most successful propaganda machine in modern history.

Well said!

Having worked on the street campaigning it’s amazing the misinformation it’s given.

However sadly in the real world people double down, even triple down on their misinformation. I have in-laws that are staunch republicans who tell me in my face they are not racist, they are not Zenophobic, and yet will spew racial nonsense they hear on Fox News about another country like Iran.

As a minority women of color it’s amazing how many people shut their mouths when actually saying a sentence in your face that they all of a sudden realize is racist.

Fox & Friends panics over Bolton bombshells: ‘Devastating’ because impeachment trial was ‘on the fast track to closing out’

“Fox & Friends” hosts warned that leaks of John Bolton’s book could blow up President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial.

Co-host Brian Kilmeade told viewers that excerpts from the former national security adviser’s book could force Republicans to hear additional witness testimony, and he fears the Trump administration was at war with itself.

“If John Bolton’s lawyers are telling the truth here, and they just submitted (the transcript) in and it’s leaked out,” Kilmeade said, “if that is indeed the case, more evidence that people within the administration are against the administration.”

White House Leaks like the Trumptanic! :)

Fox News contributor Dan Bongino: John Bolton is just another ‘snake’ in the liberal ‘swamp’

Fox News contributor Dan Bongino said that President Barack Obama had not done enough to clean the “swamp” in Washington, D.C. after reports said that former National Security Adviser John Bolton was aware of the president’s Ukraine scheme.

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade wondered if leaked excerpts of Bolton’s book makes it more likely that he will testify before the Senate impeachment trial.

“Testify to what?” Bongino exclaimed.

According to the Fox News contributor, any Republican senator who votes for witnesses is a “weak-kneed wuss.”

“Everything is a coincidence,” Bongino complained. “A whistleblower magically appears, people from the NSC are working on Adam Schiff’s staff!”

“This will be the next story, how Bolton has the keys to the kingdom,” he added.

“One think I take from this,” Kilmeade said, “is [Trump] has got to do a better job vetting his staff.”

“A lot of snakes in the swamp,” Bongino agreed.

Trumpublicunts in disarray!

This isn't just Trump's goal. It's been the Republican party's goal since at least the founding of the John Birch society in 1958 or McCarthy's insane ravings in 1950.

I Love! Fox News

The only real news is FOX NEWS! Their rated no.1 for a reason. And the only news that is unbias.

You DO understand that saying you're "fair and balanced" doesn't actually make it true, don't you?

You DO! understand that they have proving those FAKE! news stations to be wrong on just about EVERYTHING!

Their rated no.1 for a reason.

That reason is what exactly? The lies? The racism? Also, here's a helpful guide to using the proper they're/their.

He doesn't even know the correct form of "they're" he wants to use. Fox "News" is at a perfect 3rd grade level for him. Blacks bad, whites good, gays bad, straight fat Nazis good. It's simple Fox "News" stuff.

Congratulations on your ability to listen to Trump. But careful with the blind faith. It can be dangerous.

The View with Abby Huntsman and Meghan McCain? Say what you will about that show, it most definitely does represent both sides. The same could only be said of Fox News in the same sense that the Harlem Globetrotters always had an opposing team.

‘He’s not a liar’: Fox & Friends host shuts down co-hosts’ attacks on John Bolton

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade pushed back on Republican attacks on John Bolton’s credibility.

“Fox and Friends” co-host Steve Doocy and Ainsley Earhardt agreed the interview bolstered the president’s case against impeachment.

“That’s interesting,” Earhardt said. “That completely contradicts his forthcoming book.”

Doocy then joked that the information he wrote about was “so secret he can’t publish the book,” echoing White House claims about classified materials, but Kilmeade pushed back.

“I don’t like the idea of people making John Bolton out to be a liar,” Kilmeade said. “He’s sat on this couch before. He’s not a liar.”

WHo do you believe? The Douch on the left or the dummy on the right? Is the blond agnostic?

Donny wuvs'em dum.

It's not that so much as Donny loves them terrified, financially insecure, and desperate to blame someone for their ills when all their ills were, in fact, caused by people exactly like their Orange Nazi hero.

Hannity, Bolling and Rove were all paid propagandists for Fox “news”. They ignored Bush’s negligence and incompetence and declared that somehow Bush was a great leader who made great strides in getting Osama bin Laden, when in point of fact, Bush abandoned the hunt for bin Laden years before Barack Obama had even been sworn into office.

Over and over again, we see Fox news covering up for the incompetence, negligence and ineffectiveness of Republicans, while making up stories to defame, demonize and delegitimize Democrats.

These people engage in fiction, rumor-mongering, propaganda and deliberately leading millions of Americans to erroneous conclusions. Why are they allowed to continue calling themselves a NEWS channel?

Because Fox is Cable TV and Cable is basically unregulated. They couldn't get away with this shit on Network TV, but when Cable channels were unleashed upon the American public, they were unleashed with no rules on the quality, content or even honesty of their broadcasts.

As ridiculous as those who used to watch fake alphabet news. Never Again!

Now we have a real President who is accountable to the voters who put him there.

As opposed to the ones who have zero accountability to anyone except their bank account.

Pretty ridiculous that you support that indeed.

The voters didn't put him there, the Electoral College did. That's not some left-wing media source saying so, that's his supporters. They say it right here on Lit almost every day.

And the Washington Times is an openly right-leaning source, as is the Media Research Center, which they cite in that article. I would never trust the WT for anything except maybe the sports page. The scores are probably accurate.

Trump lost by 3 million votes but won by 80,000 votes.

And your point is?

If the republic were set up run by popular vote, then the big cities would rule.

That is why there is an electoral college.

No. There is an electoral college because the founding fathers didn't trust voters to get it right, and the EC is distributed the way it is (two votes for all states no matter how big or small) as a result of efforts to protect the institution of slavery.

Besides that, I don't see why the parts of the country where most people actually live shouldn't get most of the say in who our president is. Land doesn't vote.

So, lets do it your way and let California, NY, and North East decide what is best for farmers in Iowa and everything else in our country.

I don't think so. That would quicken the takers share and hasten this nations death.

Now, if it were wage earning taxpayers who voted, then i might think about it.

But when the takers know they can loot the national treasury by voting for it, a nation is doomed.

That doesn't jive. The places with most population also have the largest contribution to the national treasury. So if they are the takers, are they not also the givers?

There are farms in California, New York and the rest of the Northeast, and there are cities in Iowa. Guess where most of the votes in Iowa come from? Over 60% come from urban areas.

And while I do see your point, the Electoral college and its two automatic votes for all states regardless of size means a vote for president in Iowa is effectively quite a bit more powerful than a vote in California or New York. That's a violation of the one-person-one-vote standard in principle, if ever there was one.

Fuzzy is right, and it applies by political affiliation as well as by population. Blue states are net-givers (they pay more in taxes than they receive in the fruits of those taxes) and red states are net-takers.

By the way, "if it were wage earning taxpayers who voted," then Donald Trump never would have been allowed to vote in his life. He's never been a wage earner. The same is true of most of the 1% for whom the Republicans have been steering economic policy. Come to think of it, an awful lot of the Republican voting base wouldn't be able to vote either, as they are also on the dole.

But when the takers know they can loot the national treasury by voting for it, a nation is doomed.

Then you support putting a stop to corporate welfare and letting the ultra-rich raid the treasury? Good!

You're overthinking it. Trump and other business owners pay into payroll taxes - they match what the employees pay in.

Most democrat large cities are bankrupt and corrupt.

Red states send less $$ to DC as they don't believe DC can spend their $$ wiser.
I submit that dems get more from the feds with their large homeless and dependency population.

Funny how one can manipulate statistics until you dice through it to it's core.

And you think gun control works too - just look at Chicago.

You're overthinking it. Trump and other business owners pay into payroll taxes - they match what the employees pay in.

Not for lack of effort on the Republicans' part.

Most democrat large cities are bankrupt and corrupt.

Corruption exists everywhere. Strapped budgets can mostly be traced back to decades of Republicans paring social services to the bone.

Red states send less $$ to DC as they don't believe DC can spend their $$ wiser.

No. They send less $$ to DC because they tend to be poorer and thus have less of a tax base. It's not directly up to any state how much money to send to DC.

I submit that dems get more from the feds with their large homeless and dependency population.
Then you're wilfully ignorant about how little is spent on helping the homeless anymore! You're also ignoring the reality of who really is getting the bulk of public assistance.

And you think gun control works too - just look at Chicago.

Yes, do look at Chicago - surrounded by hundreds of miles of rural, overwhelmingly red territory in every direction.

And your point is?

If the republic were set up run by popular vote, then the big cities would rule.

Point is that trump didn’t get an overwhelming victory suggesting a mandate. He won by the slimmest of margins.
