Ok...I've recently "met" a couple of gentlemen that I like on first impression and have an attraction to in ways. It got me wondering what kind of criteria
other people have for deciding if they are going to "play" off board with someone else.

Do you just go for broke and jump right in?

Or do you prefer to spend some "chatting to know you" time first?

What if the person is brand new or not real new but hasn't posted much?

What if you suspect they are an alt of someone you do know?

How do YOU handle such situations generally?

THE POLL IS MULTIPLE CHOICE.

PSA: Troll attack is rather brief and there are many solid posts in the thread...along with some good joking/teasing.

Just roll with the flow, meet up, if it works, great, if not...oh well! Nothing ventured nothing gained.

I've never had such a situation, so I have no "handling it" experience.

As for your questions, I will answer in order:

1. Do what you think is right.
2. Chatting is always fun.
3. Why does the number of posts a person has determine whether you like them or not?
4. I will be honest about this, what is an alt? I see that in here all the time and I'm confused.

They'd have to be newbs to want to have anything to do with you.

I voted the 2nd option, but I should have (also?) voted the 4th.

I've never met anyone from Literotica, but have met people from other sites back when I was a single man.

There is no option for 'Poppy is a fucking idiot.'

I want to be a fucking idiot. Well I don't care about the idiot part. But I want to be fucking. If I have to become an idiot to fuck I will do it.

I usually like you're posts.

Why so mean in this one? Past history?

You've never read a single one of her posts have you? Admit it!

Yes I have. I do all the time. She's prolific. Never read one about poppy though - that I remember.

I would just go for broke and jump right in, meet up, if it works, great, if not...oh well! Nothing ventured nothing gained. :)

KR's snarky... and quite often justified.

1. It wasn't mean. It was an honest inquiry into why there wasn't an option for 'Poppy is a fucking idiot.' That should be an option in every poll.

2. You haven't read many of my posts if you actually think that one was mean.

3. Poppy is a fucking idiot.

I knew this topic would meet with some discomfort and nastiness...but oh well. We all have our individual inhibitions to deal with.

I just became curious to see how others decide on whether or not to take a chance with someone.

:)

Sorry, where would I ever get "mean" from what you're posting about poppy. Regardless, it's not very nice.

I would agree with Number 2 for sure :D

Please, take the chance. It will do you and us lots of good.
Now excuse me while I go watch Looking for Mr. Goodbar and giggle at the end.
