DONETSK ONSLAUGHT: Russians Approach Key Donetsk Center of Pokrovsk, the Largest City Conquest Since Bakhmut​

In these three years of war, there is only one front in which Ukrainians have been consistently winning, and that, of course, is the MSM’s headlines.

These days, the incursion into Russian territory in the Kursk region is providing context for the pro Kiev crowd to fawn over their ‘victories’, but – as we have written about before – the cross-border adventure comes just as the defenses in Donetsk region are crumbling and Russians score victory after victory on the ground.

Now, Russian Federation forces are said to have begun laying siege to the city of Selidovo, and to be less than 10 km from Pokrovsk – poised to be the biggest conquest since Bakhmut.


Inhabitants of the region have now been forcibly evacuated and met by humanitarian aid workers and volunteers before being sent to shelters nearby.

Ukraine has no power grid to speak of nore any fresh water either, winter is 60 days away..... those home grown ballistic missiles Zelensky is touting are being manufactured outside of Ukraine...bet my last dollar on it...
The current crime family in power needs this war, needs a reason to "lock down" or impose "marital law"... before the election, giving they/them a "valid" excuse to postpone the election......all it would take is an attack from a "foreign" entity.

Let's cut the bullshit, Laz. You and I and a number of others here all support Ukraine. It's NOT a Democrat / Republican thing. Both Democrats and Republican's support providing assistance to Ukraine. The crux of the issue with US support is we have an Administration (we all know it's NOT run by Biden or Harris so your guess is as good as mine) that has been slow-walking aid to Ukraine consistently, and has consistently NOT used anywhere near all of the funding that Congress has provided.

For the six months in question, the Administration had funding in hand. 155mm artillery was being produced, packaged and shipped. The Biden Administration redirected the ammo for months, cutting off Ukraine from the needed shells as Avdiivka fell. It was shipped to Israel, who did not need it, rather than to Ukraine, who did, and THAT was a deliberate choice by the "Administration", whoever they are.

The 155mm ammo was not cut off by the budget or congress last year.
the rounds were paid for with 2023 money
they were continued to be made..
they were filled and crated..
they were put on ships..
And sent to Israel.

The money for the shells ran out about 3 months ago and was replaced by money from the 61B. so it was always fully funded, but the ships went to Israel and not Ukraine. That was a deliberate choice to leave Ukraine hanging.

And the end result of course is that....according to a Quinnipiac University poll released on Aug. 29, Americans are divided on which presidential candidate "would do a better job handling" the war in Ukraine if elected in November.

The poll finds 49 per cent of respondents believe Republican candidate Donald Trump would do a better job, while 47 per cent think Democratic candidate Kamala Harris would be more effective. The poll also revealed that divisions in opinions on Ukraine fall largely along party lines, with 93 per cent of likely Republican voters believing that Trump would be better suited to handle the war, while 93 per cent of likely Democratic voters believed Harris to be better suited.

THAT is what the Biden Administration has managed to do - make Ukraine a partisan party political issue within the USA. Something that should have been the subject of partisan consensus from the start, but Biden fucked it up, proving Obama right yet again.

Ukraine has carried out yet another massive drone attack on Russia, one of the largest ever.
At least 5 targets struck by Ukraine today in and near the Russian capital:
- Moscow oil refinery
- Volodarskaya fuel depot & pipeline distribution facility
- Two thermal powerplants
- Gas distribution line near a powerplant
Ukrainian drone strikes in Moscow continued into the morning. Given the fact that Russian air defenses are so weak in areas beyond the immediate war zones (even in Moscow!), Russia should expect a very hot winter of fire and smoke and hopefully a very cold winter in their apartments.
