This is why I was reluctant to set up my account after my Dad's passing. He loved Lit, but I don't like people criticizing other people's life styles. I was never forced or abused nor was my daughter, and we were both of legal age and perfectly able to willingly make our own decisions about who we had children with. There have been no genetic birth defects either.

Child abuse isn't a "lifestyle". It's a crime. You and your daughter weren't forced, but you were likely groomed throughout your life to be receptive to the eventual sexual advances. It's really tragic how the abuse passes from generation to generation.

I'm sorry if you don't like to hear that, but sometimes hard truths need to be spoken.

Everyone has the right to their opinion. I was not "groomed" to do anything. I was sexually active with many guys including my dad and brother, and both of my husbands, long before my brother and later my dad got me pregnant. In fact, I wanted them to get me pregnant to try to fool my then husbands into thinking that they were the father of the children, but they figured it out anyway and divorced me.

So pedophilia is ok as a lifestyle? There's a reason we protect our children from sexual predators. The psychological effects are often lifelong. There's a reason we don't copulate with family...eventual genetic deterioration is guaranteed.

Your Dad should have been in jail and I say good riddance. You may not show signs physically but the fact you are ok with your daughter having a kid with her granddad shows there is likely some lower brain function to not realize the stupidity of such an act.

Bringing a kid into world through incest is definitely child abuse to the unborn child. It's not a lifestyle. It's a crime and it's unbelievably selfish and uncaring to the well being of that child.

Who said anything about pedophilia? I was 18 when I had my first sex and so was my daughter, and I was 23 when I first got pregnant. We were both sexually active with others before we were with family members.

You sir need to mind your own business. She has said that she was an adult and was not forced to do anything against her will. If she, as an adult, chose to have a child with her brother, her father, or anyone else, that is her business. What goes on between consenting adults is all up to them, not others.

Really, are you inbred too?...did you not read. I said it is abuse to the unborn kid. How you can condone such ludicrousy is shocking. Here in the UK Muslims account for less than 2% of population but 20% of birth defects and that is a culture that promotes marriage between cousin, not direct family. So it is my business when I pay higher taxes a d whatever other costs for the actions of stupid people who do things that hurt others.

I used pedophilia to show a other case that is indeed abuse that perhaps you could understand because you dont seem to grasp that willingly bringing an incestual offspring into the world is child abuse to the un born child.

You just love to insult and find fault don't you? No, I'm not inbred, and I do not have any children by incest. The closest thing is a daughter with my grand-daughter's wife, which makes her also my great grand-daughter, and that's not incest no matter how you try to twist it although we do have incest within our family. I am simply defending the right of consenting adults to do what they want. That said, she also said that there have been no signs of genetic defects in her or her daughter's children. So no harm, no foul.

I happen to agree with Fred on this. We have incest in our family, but no children from it, at least not yet, but If two people choose to go that route and they are consenting adults then that is their business. We are also all bisexual and the males are all cross-dressers and you might have issues with that as well. As far as marriage between cousins, our four grand-children are now two married couples, so I have no issue with that either.

Totally missing the point again...I defend the right of adults to do as they wish too, as long as no one gets hurt in process. But in procreation through incest the offspring are definitely victims. They didn't choose to get involved in this dangerous perversion where the risk of birth defects is very high,plus it could be manifested in the next generations offspring.

She's not a geneticist or Dr. so really has no clue how affected they might be. The lack of care and empathy towards the affected children is mind blowing. So selfish and criminal. They should all be locked up or at least made infertile.

I detest child abuse of any kind and incest is illegal because of the serious repercussions physically, mentally , emotionally and socially for offspring from such encounters.

The fact you defend this shows the lack of understanding or care for the true issues here.

You then must happen to not care about the rights and issues with the offspring. There's a reason most sane people avoid procreating with family. Condoning it shows a lack of understanding and intelligence towards the serious issues involving the children of incestuous procreation.
