For the late-night crew

You know, I keep hearing these dire predictions about zombies and the end of humanity... But, seriously, except for that one time when a zombie may have eaten my brain (I stress "may," and besides, I got better), I've heard absolutely nothing to persuade me that it isn't all pure fiction.

I like to amuse and pseudo-reassure myself that I'll survive the initial outbreak because I don't get sick from viruses easily, so that must mean I'm part of that elusive and mysterious 1-5% of humanity that will be immune to the Rage plague.

Then I'll be able to live out my anime-styled anti-hero Mad Max fantasy and roam the countryside with firearms strapped to my back, a katana at my side, leather boots, a wide-brimmed hat to obscure the upper half of my face and a cool, multi-pocketed, weathered trenchcoat.

If I can make it across the ocean after Armageddon, I'll try to come find you. Hopefully you'll be able to hold out with more pieces of toast and butter that slides off them.

Like Jules in Pulp Fiction? Just walk from town to town, meet people, get in adventures?

Yes, like that, but not talk in snarky hipster dialogue. It would be more raw, with a gravelly, weary but strong voice and very short-spoken. I would be saying things like, "I stopped looking at the calendar a long time ago," or "he's not going to make it," and "you don't want to go to Nashville."

if I'm a zombie, though, do I get a pity fuck before you kill me?

What could be more raw than Pulp Fiction? Rly...

Okay, I accept that Tarantino has jumped the shark. Reservoir Dogs was a bit High School, and Death Proof was a bit boring... But at least he made 2.5 great films.

However, if you want to compare a zombie film to some other zombie film, you compare it to Rodriguez' "Planet Terror."

I rarely swim in these waters of the GB, though I did enjoy this thread. I miss it when I come by from time to time.

Yep yep. A lot of the people who used to post in here are long gone.

Damn shame too.

Wok, you always know where to find me.

Though, I do miss the days of some of those that posted here on Lit. The hayday of back when...

Well if I'm ever up for a stretch of time in the middle of the night I'll pop in here, but I probably won't be in a good mood, ;)

I hate to do this, as this is a great thread to resurrect. Though Monday is soon approaching on the East Coast. Must retire soon.

Next time?

It was the late night "Eastern Time" thread. It tended to be the early-late night everybody else time thread.
