For the last three days

I ran a little program that pulls information from lit.
Basicly I downloaded every post I could get my hands on and stuck it in a file on my hard drive.

Now, Ive been running a little proggie I whipped up for pattern matching.

I used Hanns_schmidt as a template, and its been working since then matching writing patterns misspelled words, use of punctuation, capitolization, common terms, etc. its about 70% done. and is taking forever.

However when its done I will post the closest 10 matches to hanns's writing style here.

Can you post up some more general statistics as you figure them out? I don't really care about cross-identification--although it is mildly interesting. I'm kind of interesting in total demographic information. Do female-presenting poster post more or less than male posters, or is it the same? Are there other gender differences? Are you able to identify distinct personality/posting types?

well for pulling the data it was a simple matter of doing a quick VB app with a web component and using the downloaded event.
and saving the resulting pages to an ms access MDB file

then I used vb again to write a little program that checks for patterns. college level stuff to be sure, and slow as fuck but it will work.
