Biden’s VP Residence Closed Because Of Sequester….
Via TWS:
Vice President Joe Biden’s official residence in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Naval Observatory, will be closing its doors to tour groups due to the mandatory budget cuts of sequestration.
Under a heading titled “Current Tour Status,” the website of the Naval Observatory reads, “We are currently not accepting any new requests for tour reservations due to the pending effects of the Federal sequestration beginning on or about March 1. In the event of sequestration all tours beginning in April will be cancelled due to staff furloughs.”
Normally, the website states, “Public tours of the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington, DC, are available, but on a limited basis. They may be canceled at any time with little notice. Please read the tour policy and admission procedure below before you request tour passes.”
