Please send good thoughts and energy to scheherazade_79... She was admitted to hospital this morning early (after 3 am) with a temperature of over 103.

She is ok - just has to stay there overnight. But I am sure she if feeling really sick and maybe even a little frightened.

I am sending you hugs and love, beautiful one  Feel better :rose:

Absolutely! Me too. She is absolutely an angel. Please get better soon. I'd bring you soup, but the airfare would kill me ;).

This is the downside of the internet. You make friends with people that are so far away, you feel helpless when they have a problem.

You're not alone Scheh; you've got all of us thinking of you.

The Earl

sweetie, if anyone deserves a break, its you. please get well soon and no more pushing yourself until you're ready
:rose:

Boo!

I checked myself out of heartbreak hotel. Since when have nurses stopped wearing those sexy little outfits? It was very disappointing. I only saw one pair of nurse-legs the whole time I was there.

Thank you, Vana, for setting up this thread. That's probably the most touching thing anyone's ever done for me  And thank you everyone for the really sweet comments.

My temperature has come down. I feel stupid. The fever was what kept me in there, but the reason I was admitted in the first place was because I was feeling shitty, I googled my symptoms and my imagination went into overdrive. My chest started feeling tight, then I had my first ever real proper panic attack - the kind where you can't feel your hands nor your feet, and you can't get your breath.

I also overdid things yesterday... and I have another throat infection.

The health fairy seems to have abandoned me these days.

I'm very relieved you're ok and back home........ but now it's time for blunt talk.

It's time you accepted that you are 'sick'. Not stay in bed, debilitating sick, but still sick, with a body that isn't too happy with exertion and overdoing it, as you are prone to (don't argue with me, young lady!).

Rest, rest, rest and more rest. THAT's what you're supposed to be doing, allowing your body's immune system to work properly. If you keep driving it to its physical limits, it can't heal.

Now stop being freakin' stubborn, and do as you're told.

(you know I'm saying it because I care.  )

*hugs* Scheh, it's good to see you home. :rose:

Look after yourself, k?

(Isn't Mat just sooo sexy when she gets cross!? I'd do as I was told, if I were you. ;) )

And how, pray tell, does one put knobs on bollocks???

One doesn't need to, dear lady, as one is usually already attached (but my memory of such things is understandably much fresher than yours. :D )

I am so digging myself into a deeper and deeper hole here...

Exactly.

Y'know... all bollockings, nagging, gipsies' warnings aside.... there are quite a few formidable women in this place

Between you, I think you ground me down.

I give up. I'll stay in bed. Now I've discovered I can climb out onto the roof for illegal ache and pain relief, it shouldn't be a problem  :rose:

Singing Peggy Lee's "Fever".....stay off the roof you delirious bitch.

You think you're formidable enough to take me on, bitch? No. I like it on the roof. It gives me a wonderful sense of 'highness' ;) :p

I'll assume that's the fever talking. You can't be in your right mind if you think I can't kick your ass while hopping on one foot and eating an ice cream cone.

I suppose we'll have to wait for the "I fell off the roof" thread.

If you give the ice cream cone to me to finish off for you, you might stand a better chance ;)

As for the "I fell off the roof" thread... Well, it hasn't happened yet, and I don't want to tempt fate by discussing it beforehand. I do take precautions, though - I tied myself to the window handle with nylon stockings last night :catroar:

Hmm. There might be a story in that. ;)

Well thank goodness sense prevails. But please stay off the roof. Content yourself with leaning out of the window to smoke, and leave your feet firmly on the ground.

Off-topic: rcv'd your hilarous poem. Brilliant. Well done. :D
